Rissy
The rabbit was dragging Aliegha toward a large house and as he dragged her Aliegha tried to slip her hands out of the ropes which bound them behind her. The ropes were so tight it felt like it would be impossible. She felt the rope cutting into her wrist and she clenched her teeth to keep from crying out. She hoped she would be able to stand the pain and keep quiet or that a tear wouldn’t fall from her eyes.
She twisted her hands around, hoping that would loosen the ropes, but it only tightened them. She felt the rope cut through her skin and felt the blood trickle down her from her hands. She had to hold her breath to keep from screaming. Once again, Aliegha felt around for the knot and when her hands rested on it, she began to play around with it and hoped her hands be free soon. At least before they reached the house.
After a while of messing around with the knot, she finally felt it loosen. Aliegha then tried to slip her wrist out of the rope, but they still wouldn’t go through. The rope only bit into her skin more, causing more blood along with the pain that made her want to vomit.
She took a break and looked up. She almost gasped when she saw how close they were getting to the house. She then worked on the rope some more. She ignored the pain that shot through her arms as she pulled at the ropes. She was about to give up and surrender when something happened. One of her wrists was now free from the rope. Heart started to pound against her chest. She looked toward the house and saw that they were only a few steps away. She then looked at the rabbit and saw that he had a sick smile on his face, it disgusted her.
Aliegha then readied herself for the pain that might come, she brought her elbow up and without hesitating for even a moment, she slammed her elbow into the rabbit’s stomach. She heard him gasp for air and felt him loosen his grip on her arm. Aliegha wrenched her arm free and took off running faster than she ever had before. She was running so fast that it felt like someone had set her on fire. Her whole body ached and her heart raced against her chest so fast that she could feel it. She pressed herself to run harder and harder, the only thing that she could think of was that she wasn’t going to let that nightmare come true. But the moment she thought that she heard a voice, but it wasn’t any voice, it was the rabbit and where the voice was coming from wasn’t behind her. It wasn’t to her left or to her right, it was directly in front of her.
She ran straight into the rabbit’s arms as confusion took over her mind and her heart froze like it was a piece of ice that would stay frozen forever. She felt the rabbit grab her by the arms then he said, “You think you can escape me, huh? Well in that case you are dead wrong, my dear, and this oh, and this is only the beginning.”
Aliegha looked directly into the rabbit’s eyes as she fought back angry tears. She was so close and now she was stuck, but anger rose up in her like a thunderous wave or violent storm. “They’ll find me! And when they do you will be nothing but dust! Who are you to treat a doe this way and worse you treat your fiancé like she is trash, but what I don’t see is why you are doing this? If you think this is going to make you feel better it isn’t! You think it's going to bring back the past, but it isn’t! You think that doing this is going to get back at my brother, it isn’t and it’s not going to make you feel better! It can’t replace the ache in your heart, trust me, I…” Aliegha was going to say more but the rabbit raised a hand ready to strike her across the face.
But instead of striking her he only yelled. “Don’t you ever talk to me like that again!” The rabbit then pulled her inside the house. He dragged her roughly through the halls. He pulled her toward a door and opened it, revealing a small room full of cells. Aliegha’s eyes widened with fear as he walked her over towards a small dark cell with no windows. He threw her into the cell and she fell hard to the ground.
The rabbit then stepped inside the cell and grabbed a chain that was attached to the wall. He shackled her hands to the chain, then looked at her and said, “I told you that it would get far worse.” Then he stood and left her alone.
Aliegha called out with tears running down her face. “Please, please don’t leave me here!” But there was no reply to her call. She laid back against the cold wall and let her head lull to the side. There was no stopping this, her nightmare after all was going to come true.
Keep fighting, Aliegha. Don't give up on them. You won't be there forever.
