Whitson Aura Farm

So, I don't know if everyone is tuned on internet trends but there is a trend (I don't know if it's still alive because everything lasts like 5 seconds in the internet) of something called aura farm. I can't really explain how it works but as a example of "aura farming" they use a image of King Baldwin IV from the movie Kingdom of Heaven. This one specifically

ree

The context of the image is that there is a discussion within the army and he makes this pose for silence.

I'm rereading for the 3rd or 4th time Prince Lander and the Dragon War and on page 180, there is a discussion within Whitson's war council, mainly between Captain Walters and Chief Heckle, and Whitson just comes into the tent and raises his hand and everyone is silenced.

I know it's kinda stupid but I think it's a fun thing that…

No! That's actually really cool! I'm not really on the internet a whole lot, so it's really intriguing to see some of the kinds of stuff that's going around! It's also neat that you made that connection with GE. (Also, this movie looks really interesting, I'll have to put it on my watchlist! :) )

Helmer and Sigrid, Chapter 5

Helmer couldn’t recall the last time he had been so happy. Certainly, in the years since he had joined the army of King Jupiter he had not known such celebration. It wasn’t that First Warren had no festivals of its own, or that his family never gathered for such meals. But since becoming a soldier, Helmer had always been conscious of the fact that he would soon be leaving for his next mission.

Sitting with Sigrid and the children, however, Helmer found himself able to let go of any such thoughts. The jubilation of the younglings was infectious, and their open-hearted welcome touched him deeply. And the obvious affection between them and Sigrid was also touching to see. Helmer found himself marveling at his golden-furred friend all over again.

It was undoubtedly this preoccupation that kept Helmer from noticing the new arrivals. Sigrid saw them first, and upon seeing her…

Just a question, does this have do to with Helmer in the Dragon Tomb? I haven't read it yet

Here's Fleck Blackstar!!!

@Captain Shadow really inspired me to make this, and I had a lot of fun doing it! Thanks a bunch. :)

Also-- I get that he's not the most giddy rabbit ever, (give me a break, I've only read a bit of the Old Natalia) (I really want them for Christmas!!!) but this is kind of like an afterlife type imagery in my mind. Just... sailing the endless lake forever.....

I was reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader when I made this, so there's also that. 😅😅😅

Cool image! Fleck is one of my favorite character so it's very cool The only problem I see is that Fleck's patch is brown and the star is black (the name of the book).

Green Ember Flags

I want to ressurect these flags I made some time ago and with the forum somewhat more active, I decided to put them again.

@Shuffler :) kinda motivated me again so thanks.

This is brilliant! I personally have the hardest time distinguishing and/or memorizing the different citadels, so having designated images for each of the flags/banners is actually really helpful! I was just drawing Cole, and I wanted to include some imagery of the Kingston flag, but I couldn't get it right, so I kind of gave up on it. ̄へ ̄ Now maybe I can go back and add it! I also think that it's nifty how you chose a different star shape for Terralain's flag, because I also kind of imagined it similarly. I need to stop ranting before this becomes the longest comment ever made, but I really also love how aligned you got the stars on Harbone's banner :) It really looks great.

Emma and Lord Rake

So, just a piece I finished in my spare time. (I mostly drew it for my little sis, who really likes Emma's character arc.) In my mind, this is drawn a bit before Heather and Picket's arrival, so Emma is a little younger.

This is just her with Lord Rake 🤷🏻‍♀️ He's pretty tired from a hard day's work, but he loves her, and always has time to listen to her enthusiasm about medical school.

I have this idea in my mind that he loves to hear her talk. I think these are two characters that should just get more TLC. And frankly, I really liked experimenting with the lighting.

Tips and feedback are greatly appreciated!!!

Art!.. i suppose.

I'm currently grappling with the challenge of creating good titles for my artworks. I had intended to create more pieces with various characters, but I got lazy. So, here's a rough of her majesty, Princess Emma, for you guys!

ree

I would really appreciate prayers right now. I've been working on an art piece to enter into a fairly big competition, and I'm pretty nervous. Thank you, and God bless!!

(Also, is it still too early to post HIDT art??) (It's been a constant brainrot 😂)

Tales of Old Natalia Lego

So folks may remember-or not, given that it's been a while-that we had a thread about potential Green Ember Lego sets. I got very into that, as it combined two of my greatest interests in terms of entertainment. Well, while I submitted ideas for sets from all four main series books, I never got around to doing anything for the Tales of Old Natalia or Green Ember Archer. I am now here to rectify that situation.

The Black Star of Kingston

Lillie

Relive the exciting action of the Battle of Ayman Lake! Set includes builds for Lillie, a bird and the following minifigures:

  • Whitson Mariner

  • Fleck Blackstar

I'm not actually sure how often I should post my art on here.. I have a lot of it for sure, I just don't want to be too aggressive-- honestly though guys, bear with me, I just want to keep this forum alive. :)

Enjoy.🤷🏻‍♀️

Cool, nicely done! The only thing I would change is the ear length which is quite too long considering Heather is a rabbit, not a hare. But it's just nitpicking.

Perils of Writing in a Still Expanding Canon

So as some folks may be aware, a while back I introduced a concept for what the rabbits of the Green Ember series would call God. I don't feel confident in my ability to come up with something like Eru Illuvatar (Tolkien) or Aslan (Narnia). And I didn't want to just rip off another franchise by using a name like the Heart (Mistmantle) or the Maker (Wingfeather, among other things). Firstking might have been a good one, but Sam applied that as a name of Flint.

I was struck by an inspiration. One of the teachings of Christ that I treasure most is the emphasis on God's Fatherhood. I thus had the idea that the rabbits, who also value family, would call their Creator "Firstfather." The idea pleased me, and I've seen it adopted by one or two other fans as well. I figured it would never appear in official…

Firstfather... I really like that idea, especially considering I've recently given this very topic much thought. Have you read the book already?? I'm only on chapter 6. I'm trying to pace myself.. 😂 Only three chapters a day.
