Your friend, Rissy
Aliegha watched as Nicholas walked over to Adrian, who lay on the ground limp. Nicholas bent down beside Adrian and checked his pulse. Aliegha saw a sad look come to Nicholas’s face as said, “No, no, no, no, he can’t be, come on, Grant! Come on! I can’t lose you! Adrian Grant, don’t you give up on me!”
Aliegha wasn’t sure what was happening, so she hurried over and dropped to her knees by Nicholas. She looked into Nicholas’s face tears rolled down his cheeks and soaked his fur.
Aliegha knew what was wrong now, and she couldn’t believe it. It could not be true, it could not happen. Adrian was dead. Tears rained down her cheeks, cascading like a waterfall of sorrow. Her heart was broken, broke in such a way that you could never put it back together because the piece was missing, lost forever in that great void called death.
She shook her head as she said, “Why? Why him? Why not me?” She then stood and looked at everyone’s faces. They were all crying over the loss of Adrian. Gabriella was crying on Kei’s shoulder; Abbi was hugging Cleo, and they were sobbing. Then there was Nicholas, who was falling apart, he was the oldest, but the sobs shook him the hardest.
Aliegha looked down at the necklace around her neck, thinking of what had happened to her brother. Calamity and heartbreak followed her; she was cursed. She then said, her voice cracking as more uncontrollable tears poured down her face, “This is my fault.”
Nicholas turned and grabbed her hand; sorrow ran deep in his eyes as he spoke. His voice was quiet and riddled with grief, “It is not your fault Aliegha, don’t you ever think that. You are a wonderful rabbit, Grant loved you! He wouldn’t want you to be like this. He would want us to be strong for him; that is what he would want,” Nicholas said as he wiped at his eyes.
“You don’t understand, Nicholas. Why is it that good rabbits have to be the ones to die? And the bad rabbits get to live? I don’t understand! I will never forgive myself, and yes, this is my fault!” She said, wiping angrily at her tears.
Nicholas spoke again. “Sometimes Aliegha good rabbits die for a reason, no one knows why and we probably never will, but there is a reason, a reason we don’t know. But one day, we will know. It could be a hundred years from now, or it could be tomorrow, no one knows.”
Nicholas took one of her hands in his and looked at her with red, tear swollen eyes. She didn’t want to hear Nicholas talk anymore. She wanted to run away somewhere so far away from here. Somewhere where no one could ever find her. She felt like she wanted to die. She was soaked and cold, heartbroken and guilt-ridden. She looked into Nicholas's eyes as she pulled her hand away and said, her voice cracking, “I’m leaving and never coming back here.”
Aliegha then turned and ran off as fast as she could on the slick ice. She reached the wood line and dashed into it without looking back. She heard everyone yelling her name, but she blocked it out. She wasn’t going back. What would the king and queen think about her? It was her fault that the heir to the throne was dead. What was wrong with her? Everything, that was what was wrong with her.
She held her dress up as she ran faster, her heart pumping so fast it became hard to get air. She dashed past a tree, but it felt like the snow was slowing her down. She was so cold, and her soaked clothes felt heavy like the invisible burden in her heart.
She ran for a long while, then she stopped gasping for air, tears rolling down her face. She fell to her knees in the deep snow, and her whole body shook with the sobs that enveloped her. She had only cried this much the time when she had been separated from her twin brother, Leo. She clasped the necklace, then looked up into the ashy grey sky as she yelled out as loud as she could, “Why? Why does everything I love have to be taken away from me! I think everything will be perfect, but it never is! Why can’t there be peace in the world?!” She then put her hands on the cold snow as she sobbed even harder.
But then Aliegha heard crunching footsteps behind her, but she paid no attention to it. It was probably Abbi, Nicholas, or Gabriella, maybe even Cleo or Kei if it was, she didn’t want to talk to them.
Then she felt someone grab her from behind, and she nearly screamed, but then a hand was placed over her mouth, and a knife was put to her throat. She then heard a familiar voice say, “Hello, darling.” It was him.
It was the rabbit who had bought her, her master Dogon. The one who had called her names and beat her. Her heart froze, no.
She watched as another figure came from behind a tree. He was tall and wore a black cloak, and he carried a long spear in his hand. The figure walked toward her then his head moved as he looked her over. Finally, he said, “So this is Leo’s beautiful sister.” His voice was smooth and pure evil.
Aliegha despaired. Here she was in the hands of her old master Dogon and his evil sidekick who knew something about Leo. But worst of all, her dream had come true, and Adrian wasn’t here to keep his promise. So, there was no one to save her.
ADRIAN!!!!!!!

This was so heart-wrenching. I just... I don't know what to say or how to express what I'm thinking!!!! Sad sounds too weak!!!!! This was so captivatingly and suspensefully written. I really felt her emotions, you know? You are SUCH a good writer, I don't know what I'm going to do. Like, wow.
No!!! I'm sorry. I'm mad at you.

No. I'm kidding. I hope that wasn't mean. I am NOT mad, though I would've preferred for Adrian to live. Poor Nicolas, and all the other siblings. And poor Aliegha!
I can’t handle this. Nope. I’ll be back to comment later once I have sorted through my thoughts and emotions.
