Adrian coughed up water, but it hurt so much. He felt half alive as if he was frozen solid. It felt like he would never get warm again. His whole body shivered uncontrollably. He felt someone gently slap his face, and he heard a soft voice speaking to him. It was his sister’s voice, Gabriella. “Come on. You can do it, Adrian. Don’t close your eyes.”

He heard her say, but his eyelids felt so heavy, and everything was blurry. He felt like he was so far away from them all. He coughed some more though it hurt so much. He felt like he was going to die. He heard someone else coughing and turned his head to see Aliegha. Her clothes were soaked, along with her beautiful fur; she shivered and coughed again. She had rescued him.

The thought made Adrian want to smile. He watched as Nicholas took his cloak off and put it over him, as he said, “It’s going to be alright, Adrian. We’re going to get you to mother and father right now.”

Adrian heard Nicholas say more, but he couldn’t tell what it was. He felt someone slap his face harder it hurt, but not enough to make him open his eyes. He heard screams, the word no repeated over and over again. Adrian felt his eyes fully close, and it all faded into darkness. He was going to die.

Percy was walking through the village as he thought of his plan once again. He was going to get revenge on Leo but killing Tara’s sister wasn’t going to be enough. He needed something far worse. Something that would make Leo hurt, but what would that be?

He stopped walking and laid his hand on his sword. He then heard a voice speak to him. It was a rough voice, and Percy listened close. “I heard you don’t get along with Sir Connor’s slave, Leo, and that you want to get back at him because he stole your fiancé. I might be able to help you with that.” The voice chuckled.

Percy turned around to face the rabbit. He then looked the tall, lean rabbit over. The rabbit had coarse brown fur, and his brown eyes glimmered in anger. The rabbit carried a whip and a knife; Percy liked the look of him. He smiled, an evil little smile, then he said, “And how do you think you can help me?”

The rabbit smiled back, then he spoke, “Leo has a twin sister, which he loves dearly. So here is the plan, if you help me get this doe, then we will think of something to do to this, Leo. Does it sound like a plan to you?”

Percy thought for a moment, Leo had a sister. It seemed that Leo had a lot of secrets. Percy was almost overjoyed, this was perfect. He looked at the rabbit. “I will help you get her, but when we get her, I want her. I will pay you as much as you want for her. And one more thing, I am in charge,” Percy said, standing tall.

The rabbit laughed as he said, “Then it’s a deal.”

The two rabbits walked off then, forming their plan to capture Leo’s precious sister.
