Hey guys here is chapter 21, can’t believe this has lasted so long…lol…hope you guys like it! And this fan-fic will be coming to a close soon…maybe three or four chapters….but never fear I have another fan-fic idea I’m working on! Thanks for praying and now you can read!
“So, what is the plan?” Sandy said as he looked up at Whit.
Whit smiled as he grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil from his pocket. He then wrote on it and handed it to Sandy. Sandy took the piece of paper from him then read it.
These two rabbits are sent by me, by order of my brother King Winslow, to escort the prisoners out of their cells for their execution. Prince Whitbe
Sandy looked up, “Sounds like a good idea.”
“Good, now meet me at the oak tree if you know where that is,” Whit looked at him.
“I know where that is and we will meet you there,” Sandy said, nodding.
Whit then bent down beside Sandy and Jenny, and he looked at Jenny as he said gently, “I am going to get you somewhere safe, so is it alright if I carry you?”
Sandy looked at Jenny’s face she smiled weakly and nodded her head, using the last bit of her strength before passing out.
Sandy watched as Whit gently picked her up in his arms, he then looked at Cassandra. “Look after her for me.” He said, looking at Jenny’s still form.
Cassandra smiled at him as she gave him a hug. “Of course, I will.”
Sandy broke away from the hug. “Thank you.” Cassandra smiled at him again as she left with Whit and Jenny.
Sandy looked over at Amos. “Are you okay?”
“I’ll be fine, now let’s get yer brother and mine,” Amos said. They then ran out of the room and after a while they came to a door.
Sandy looked at Amos and said, “Put yer cloak on.” Amos nodded his head as he threw his cloak on. Sandy did the same. He then opened the door as they went inside and walked down some stairs. It was dark and torches hung all over the walls. Sandy grabbed one of them and then handed one to Amos.
They then saw a rabbit standing in the corner, they walked over to him and Sandy spoke, “We are here to get the prisoners and take them to be executed, Prince Whitbe’s orders.” Sandy then handed the rabbit the paper.
The rabbit took it, read it, then handed it back to him along with the key. Sandy looked at Amos and nodded his head for him to follow. This had worked better than he thought.
They walked around looking for Duncan and Angus. Sandy then heard Amos call out, “Angus!” Sandy looked at Amos and saw he was fixing to run off and call out again. He grabbed Amos’s arm and Amos turned on him, his eyes dark brown flashing as he said, “I saw Angus.” “I keen but ye need to be quiet,” Sandy held a finger up to his mouth.
“Okay,” Amos said, whispering quietly.
Sandy smiled at him as he said, “Where is he?”
“Right over here,” Amos said, as they walked over to a cell. He saw a young buck crying in a corner, rocking back and forth. He unlocked the cell and swung the door open. Amos ran in and hugged the buck. Sandy watched as tears poured down both of their faces. He then heard Angus say, “I cannae believe its ye Amos!”
“I keen,” Amos said. Sandy looked around to make sure no one was coming. He then looked back at Amos and Angus who were now coming out of the cell.
“Now we look for ye brother,” Amos said, smiling at him.
Sandy smiled back, he then motioned for them to follow him as they looked for Duncan. They looked for a while and were about to give up when Sandy heard crying and the word no, being spoke over and over again in a broken voice. HE knew that voice it was Duncan. “Duncan,” he said quietly as he ran over to the cell, Amos and Angus following him.
Sandy then saw Duncan in the cell, he was on his knees, tears pouring down his face, and he was holding the motionless form of a doe that was dead. Sandy unlocked the cell and swung the door wide open as he ran over to his brother. HE fell to his knees beside Duncan and looked down at the dead doe that Duncan was holding in his arms. She had a sword stab to the middle.
“I am so sorry,” Sandy said, as he hugged his brother.
“I loved her,” Duncan said choking on the words.
“I keen,” Sandy said, softly, “I keen.”
