Hey guys, here is chapter 3. I hope you guys like it! Sorry if its shorter than the others, I think it might be…
I have been really busy this week…anyway the next chapter will be done in Duncan’s thoughts, I just thought I would let you guys know. 😉 We are starting school back next week, but I will try my very best to more soon. Which shouldn’t be that hard because it doesn’t take me long to write these…lol…May God bless all of you and my place beside you friends!
Always, M.G.P.
Oh and @Bearer of the Flame you’re back! Yeah!
The trees swayed and trembled as leaves flittered about being jerked to and fro, by the strong wind which blew. Loud thunder cracked overhead, and lightning ripped through the sky. Sandy ran along the riverbank, the ground slick and slimy beneath his feet. Duncan didn’t understand ever since that day, the day their parents had died, Duncan had never understood never could, he hadn’t been there. He ran on as he wiped tears from his eyes, it hurt so much to think about it. He had been there, when it happened, and Duncan had not. What he had seen what happened that day and been unable to stop it, and it had scarred him in more ways than one.
Sandy let the tears flow then, their warm dampness adding to the wet rain already on his cheeks. He didn’t want to think about it, not right now, or ever. No one knew what he felt like, he felt like he was missing a piece. A piece that he could never get back, no matter how hard he tried. He stopped and gasped for breath, as he fell to his knees in the wet mud.
Tears poured down his face, sobs shook his soaked body, and the rain poured down in torrents. Drops of water dripped from his soaked fur and clothes, he looked over at the river. The water was high, and the river was moving fast. He heard a loud boom of thunder accompanied by a popping crack. He looked up to see a large tree falling towards him. His eyes widened and he sat up quickly struggling to get out of the way. He wasn’t quick enough, and a large limb hit his shoulder.
He yelled out in pain. He then fell into the cold, raging, roaring waters of the river below. Down, down, down he went, being pulled under by the swift waters. He tried to hold his breath, but couldn’t, the cold was to intense. He tried to swim but his shoulder hurt with an intense, throbbing pain. All he could think was that this was end of him. He drifted through the waters swirling with current, the worst part of this was that Duncan didn’t even know where he was. He hit his head on a boulder and the last thing he thought was, “I’m sorry for everything, me brother.”
Aww, poor Sandy! Great job, loved the description!
