Hope y'all like it!!!
I entered the hall, anger fuming. Anger at the wolves. At Garten. I passed some whispering guards.
“Ahem.” I coughed, nudging my way into the circle.
“Wilfred? Wilfred Longtreader?” A guard asked.
“He saved my life.” I said, thinking back many years.
“But longtreader.” Another guard said.
“Garten.” I whispered, barely under my breath.
“The whole family was wrong!”
“Whittle and Wilfred are good rabbits.” I yelled.
“No.” Another guard hollered. I was about to shout an angry retort when I heard a calm voice.
“Fleck?” It was Smalls.
“Humph.” I shoved my way out of the huddle of rabbits to join my friend.
“What happened?” Smalls asked.
“Decker’s Landing.” I said, sadness seeping in.
“It will not be so.” Smalls began.
“In the mended Wood.” I replied.
“I have to go,” Smalls said, nodding my way. I smiled, then raced to the Savory Den.
The Savory Den was large and warm. The clean wood tables were covered in red checkered tablecloths. Rabbits talked happily amongst each other. I pushed my way to some familiar rabbits from Kingston. The Blackstars.
“Your early. The citadel conference doesn’t start for another week.” I hinted.
“Lieutenant Cove!” Lord Blackstar exclaimed.
“Dad, we’re a week early.” Heyna said. Jabbing me with her elbow.
“Dad!” Cole exclaimed.
“Okay, okay.” Lord Blackstar said, laughing.
“Where’s Bastille?” Heyna asked.
“Harbone.” I whispered, snatching a bowl of delicious soup. Before I could eat, Pacer was walking up to me.
“Your on.” He said, motioning to the false wall.
“I’m still getting used to having you in charge.” I said, walking to the false wall.
“I’m here.” I calmly declared. No response.
“Uh, if there’s even a guard back there.” I said, knocking hard on the door.
“Pass code.” A sleepy voice called. I knocked several times. The door opened. Kyle.
“Where’s the guard!” I shouted, shaking Kyle.
“Asleep.” Kyle said.
“Who put you in charge?” I yelled.
“No one.” He said, rubbing his eyes.
“Go to bed you exasperated youngling.” I hollered.
“Sorry.”
“You better be.”
Kyle turned away, but not before I could see the look in his eyes.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered.
“I know. Today’s been hard.” Kyle said.
“You don’t have to listen to him.”
“He made me do it. I don’t want to, but I have to!” Kyle moaned.
“Do what you have to, Kyle.” I sighed, then took my position at the door.
“Kylen?” Kyle asked.
“Ha-ha. Nope, princeling.” Kyle grinned.
“Thanks for trusting me. I’ve sort of told Lord Rake, if that’s okay.”
“It’s fine.” Kyle waved, then walked into the Savory Den. I sighed.
Fleck knows about Kyle!! but he hopes he will make the right choice!!
'stay tuned to hear more!!!'

Oh, KYLE!!! Great job!!!! lolol
Great chapter!!! Gonna read the next one in a minute.....
If Smalls had his own Picket Packslayer song: “Who’s starsword’s reflecting the moon? Smalls ender prey-bane, Smalls Ender prey-bane. Who is coming to fight for us soon? Smalls Ender prey-bane, Smalls ender prey-bane! Smalls ender prey-bane!”
it's weird because i'm writing ahead in my fanfic [the third/fourth one set in the mending, i think] and this song's in chapter 2..... thats why it's quotationed... wait is Quotation a word?
Creeps. Poor Kyle. I feel bad for him.
