Rissy
Anger rose through Leo’s veins as he spit blood onto the snowy ground. He was about to yell something at Marcellos, but before he could Tara grabbed his arm tightly and turned him to face her. Tears rolled down her beautiful face, she gently raised her hand and placed it on his face. Then she leaned in close to him and laid her head against his, then said, in a whisper, “Leo please don’t do this. Don’t fight, I can’t bear to see two rabbits fight and hit each other. I’ve seen that my whole life, I am begging you please stop.” She choked on her words and Leo could see that it was making her fall apart, slowly and painfully.
He laid both of his hands on her face, wiping away the tears that were cascading down like a waterfall. He then gazed into her eyes and she into his. Leo then nodded.
“Thank you,” Tara said as she looked down.
Leo grabbed her hand and squeezed it. “I would do…” But before he could finish what he was going to say, he heard a raspy voice say from behind them.
“What do you know, it’s Leo. But not just him we also have the precious, beautiful Tara,” the voice said.
Leo stiffened, and his heart began to pound hard against his chest. He looked over at Marcellos and they locked eyes. Marcellos had a worried look in his eyes and his hand went for the double-sided battleax strapped to his back. Leo shook his head, and Marcellos slowly put his hands down.
Leo then tightened his grip on Tara’s hand as he turned to see the rabbit. But it wasn’t just any rabbit, it was the buck who had bought his sister. The rabbit had a grin on his face. Leo’s heart nearly froze when the rabbit spoke again.
“Percy wanted me to give you a message, he said he has your sister, and if you don’t bring his fiancé back to him, then he will have to kill her.” The rabbit laughed.
Leo felt Tara squeeze his hand. More anger than Leo had ever experienced in his life rose in his soul and entered his heart. He released Tara’s hand and nodded for Marcellos to take her. Marcellos nodded as he walked over and grabbed Tara by the arm, holding her back. Leo walked over towards the rabbit, his hands balled into fists and his eyes flashing with anger. He stopped as soon as he came face to face with the buck.
Leo then lashed out with his fist and hit the rabbit hard across the jaw. The rabbit spun and fell to the ground as he cried out in pain. Leo then bent down and roughly grabbed the rabbit by the shirt. He lifted the buck up off the ground. He heard Tara and Julia scream. Tara yelled for him to stop as she tried to wiggle free from Marcellos and kept yelling.
“Where did be take my sister? You have a minute to answer!” Leo said through clenched teeth.
Adrian leaned against the wall to keep his balance so that he wouldn’t fall. He walked slowly, his legs shaking under him as he did. His head spun along with everything else that he saw. He felt queasy the more he thought about Aleigha. He knew with all his heart that something was wrong and it had to do with her. His stomach slowly began to flip and he had to keep himself from gagging.
He leaned hard against the wall and started to walk slower. He then cocked his ears as he heard voices not too far away. He sighed with relief; he wouldn’t have to walk much further. He walked to where he heard the voices. He then stopped outside of the door and took a deep breath.
Adrian opened the door and when he did all eyes in the room fell on him, and they all looked surprised that he was up, but at the same time, they all looked like they were crying. He looked around to see who and all was in the room.
He saw his father and mother, along with Nicholas, Abbi, Kei, Massie, and a bunch of others including Gabriella who wiped away tears.
“What’s wrong?” he asked. But they didn’t have to say it he already knew. Aleigha was gone. Tears escaped from his eyes and he slowly fell to his knees, placing his hands over his face. He felt a firm hand on his shoulder, then heard his father speak, “I know she’s gone son, but we’re going to do the best we can to get her back. I know how much Aleigha means to you,” Lander said as he wrapped Adrian in a hug.
Adrian sobbed in his father’s arms. When he spoke, he choked on his words, “No, no, this can’t be happening. I promised myself nothing would happen to her! I can’t let them hurt her! I cannot live without her!” Adrian fell apart in his father’s embrace.
“I know son, I know this and that’s why we’re going to get her back, I promise!”
“I’m going with you, I’m going to make that rabbit pay,” Adrian said.
“Are you sure your up to this, Adrian?” he heard Massie say.
Adrian looked up at Massie as he raised his head high. “Ready or not, I’m going to get her.”
Bleh. Percy. He needs his box again. Actually, I think he just needs to stay there. Maybe you can make him be trapped in a box at the end of this!!!
I am hoping Adrian doesn't die of exhaustion, or something like that. But I'd rather him die than Aliegha. I want her and Leo to be reunited, and Percy to be defeated!!!
