Okay guys, here is chapter 5! You guys seemed pretty anxious for the next chapter so I decided to go ahead and post it! Enjoy!
Sandy opened his eyes, slowly. The first thing he saw was a caramel colored doe with violet eyes. She was the prettiest doe he had ever seen. “Am I dead? And if nae where am I?” he said, his voice sounding rough.
The doe laughed. “Nay*, ye’re nae dead. Ye’re very muckle alive,” she said, laughing again. Her laughter was soft and sweet.
He nodded and slowly got out of bed. He felt a tad bit dizzy for a moment, coughed, and steadied out. But something was missing. “Where’s me claymore and bow and quiver?” He looked at the doe, slightly panicked, had they been lost in the river? They had been his father’s.
“Calm down, they is right here,” she said, as she picked them up form a chair. “Me brothers and I dried them off for ye.” She then handed them to him.
Sandy took them relieved, then said, “Thank ye, sorry if I sounded mean.”
“That’s perfectly alright,” the doe said, smiling at him. He smiled back, as he strapped his claymore belt on.
Someone knocked on a door somewhere. The doe looked over her shoulder and said, “That’s probably me father, he must be back. Ye can come with me if ye like, he would love to meet ye.” The doe said as she walked out of the room.
“That sounds great, I guess,” Sandy said as he followed her, he then added, “But I donnae ken yer name?”
“Me name is Jenny Malcolm and what yers?” she said, as she stopped walking and turned toward him.
“Sandy, and that’s all ye need to ken,” Sandy said, bluntly.
“Well, Sandy, we should get the door, before me father is angered,” Jenny said as she turned and walked toward a small slightly rounded door in the croft*. She then opened the door.
There stood on the doorstep a tall white rabbit, with a sword by his side, and a scar across his face. Sandy knew who this rabbit was, and he was sure this was not who Jenny thought it was. This was one of the rabbits who had killed his parents. Sandy drew his claymore angry thoughts and words rising in his mind. The rabbit did the same, drawing his sword and stepping back form the door. Sandy knew one thing he would make this rabbit pay for what he had done to his parents. This rabbit, Daggler, and all the others would pay! This time he wouldn’t fail to act. He charged at the white, scar-faced rabbit.
He heard Jenny yell out, “Nay!” But he ignored it. This rabbit would die now!
