Your friend,
M.G.P.
Anger rose up inside of Sandy, his bright, blue eyes flicked and shimmered like a fire that was about to set itself free. They had his brother and one of Jenny’s brothers, and Jenny’s other brother lay on the ground limp as a rag. Sandy laid a hand on his claymore and Angus, or whoever this rabbit was, chuckled as he said, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you Sandy. You wouldn’t want me to kill this pretty doe.” The buck smiled at Sandy.
Sandy tried to control the anger raging inside him, but he couldn’t. “Enough let her go! Now!” He said his eyes flashing.
“If that’s what you want you can have her, I wasn’t here for her anyway I am here to kill you!” The buck said as he slung Jenny toward Sandy.
Sandy caught her before she hit the ground and held her looking at her for a minute before saying, “Are you okay?”
“I will be fine,” Jenny said, she then looked at the rabbit and said, “No thanks to him.”
The rabbit laughed and said, “Isn’t this just sweet. Now Sandy this is between me and you!” The rabbit drew his sword and charged at Sandy and Jenny. Sandy grabbed Jenny’s hand and moved her out of the way as he drew his claymore and blocked an overhead swipe. He pushed the sword out of the way and turned toward Jenny he was about to tell her to go some where safe when he heard her yell, “Behind you!”
He turned around and his eyes went wide as he saw the racing blade. He jumped to the side as the cleaving blow met the sod. The buck recovered quickly and swung out with his sword. Sandy leaned back the blade nicking his chin instead of cleaving off his head. He yelled out in pain, he then heard another scream, this one from Jenny.
The rabbit was going for her again his death dealing blade already descending. No! He couldn’t lose her again, not for real this time. He thought about getting out his bow but it would be too late so he did the only thing he could do. He jumped between Jenny and the speeding blade. He felt the sword slice into his shoulder and cried out in pain as he and Jenny fell to the ground rolling. Then they broke apart and he lay on his back looking up at the sky. But a shadow fell over him and the buck stood their sword poised over Sandy’s chest! Sandy rolled out of the way ignoring the excruciating pain in his shoulder. Then he jumped to his feet. The rabbit brought his sword around again, but Sandy ducked under the screaming blade and grabbed the rabbit’s arm and twisted it behind the rabbit’s back. He then raised his claymore and hit the rabbit over the head, letting him crumple to the ground.
Jenny then ran over to him and gave him a hug, he hugged her back as he whispered in her ear, “I love you!”
She did the same.
