This is my first fanfic, hope you like it. Zane folded up the table as the sun slowly sank to the west. ‘The others probably be coming back from training,’ He thought. Zane, being the youngest, and the weakest of the family, got the job of selling carrots from the family farm. His mother always thought and said that someday, something good will come from him, but every time she brought up the subject, his father would say “oh John, what great job you did today at training.” Or something like that about his other siblings. Zane had two other brothers, John, jack, and Phillip. All were in training in king Jupiter’s army. All except Zane. Looking at the sun over the water, he thought a walk would do him good. The sun shone bright with orange, yellow, and pink. He did this almost every day before or at sunset. Smelling the air and the breeze on his charcoal black fur felt refreshing, he spent the time thinking how he could please his father, his thoughts were disturbed by a faint cry. Going toward the sound, he found a baby grey doe wrapped in a olive green blanket crying, as if awoken from slumber. On the blanket was embroidered the name ‘misty.’ Thousands of thoughts rushed to his head “who would leave their baby alone, abandoned? What do I do? What would Jupiter do?” Then he knew. Looking from side to side, seeing if he could find anyone, finding no one, he stooped and picked up the baby misty. Still crying he hummed a tune and bounced her gently, settling down misty opened her eyes and, seeing Zane, she started cooing and laughing, curling her little fingers around his finger. Zane then walked home, with misty.
