I love math! So my career will probably have something to do with that, maybe computer programming. I still need to take a basic course and see if I like it, but I think video game design would be really fun. I'd also like to be in an orchestra, which is totally different. But honestly, I want to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my kids, so I probably won't have a full-time job. Maybe these things will be hobbies.
Cool! I only like math when I understand it, lol, so it depends, but I definitely agree about wanting to be a stay-at-home mom and I also think being in an orchestra would be fun.
Okay we took a career test and it basically confirmed what we wanted to be...lol....it even added some career options similar to what we already wanted to do...it was fun!!!
@Bearer of the Flame Cool, Kayti had musician as one the only problem with that would be she doesn't really know how to sing...lol....she said so herself.
And yes, it is REALLY hard to change someone's mind later on in life. I know because I've had to change my mind on several things and it took a long to accept those things. People usually accept the first thing they hear as fact and then defend it to the end. This would explain a LOT of political and other disagreement, people learn things from their parents, and then they keep believing them as fact even when proven wrong. I know used to until my parents changed their minds, and even now it's hard to change my mind about a lot of things.
@Artham Agreed! Another thing our dad says is one should always be open to new opinions, but willing to sort those opinions out for themselves ...or something like that, he probably said it better....lol...
@Saraina Right, it isn’t always going to be this way. Yes, it’s hard and stressful. Yes, lies are being spread, but so is the truth. 2020 isn’t easy on us, but its all part of Gods plan. If you think about it, after this year we will all be prepared for almost anything. We will be stronger, and less vulnerable to the real ness of the world. Hopefully we can all learn that we are all humans. in my expiriance people don’t like standing down from what they believe in, and that can be good. this is all meant to happen, it was planned from the beginning of time. So we just have to trust the way things are going, and remember that this is all planned😌
@Jo4life yep. I take comfort in knowing that even when I mess up, God can find a way to make it happen for good. I know God is sad when bad things happen, He doesn't plan or want us to get hurt, but even when we mess up, He'll use it for good and His plan will go on anyway
When I grow up I think I would like to be a dog breeder. Right now we have two adorable dogs and a little bit ago I thought I wanted to be a dog trainer cause I love to train them I am always doing new tricks with them and I love it! But we have some friends who breed bernadoodles and golden doodles and when we went to visit they had like six litters of puppies and it was the funnest thing that ever happened to me! Plus my family wants to move to a farm and my mom and dad want to breed dogs!

I am a PhD student, and I still am not sure what I would like to do. I have several possibilities, and am presently leaning towards the military or working for the Federal government.
Let's see... I want to be someone who knows what he wants to be.
Really, I'm not sure. I have too many interests and choosing which one to devote my life to is a bit intimidating. Recently I've thought being an illustrator or something would be cool; I just need to actually draw more lol. But I also love music, photography, and writing (though I don't do that as much). So I'm not sure at the moment.
Lol, I can relate about having so many interests and not knowing which I want to focus on the most. But I think you'd be an awesome illustrator. (And photographer! - the photos you shared that time were so good!)
I'd also like to be a writer but I doubt I'd make enough money for it to be my full time job, and I think I need to work with kids. I think writing will be a side hobby/maybe job.
Yeah, that's exactly how I feel about wanting to be an author; I doubt I'd make enough from that alone, so that's why I think writing would be a side job or hobby for me.
Yep, agreed. That is what ever one says to us...so as a full time job probably working with animals or at Walmart....we like kids, but we did Sunday school and some babysitting and it just drove us crazy....the little kids weren't bad it was the older ones cause they wouldn't listen....especially Kyle and Israel ...urgh...
I agree with almost all of you, I would love to be an author. And like Sarina I have wanted to since I was 5, so Im hoping I can reach that goal. I would also love to travel for a while before I settle down and get a real job, something supportive. I would love to own a bookstore in London at some point. I’ve also been told I have a pretty singing voice and I love singing so it would be cool to write songs someday... idk, it’s not set in stone at all, and I still don’t know what to chose from. I always wanted to be a councilor but I kinda gave up on that a while ago.... out of all of them I would love to be an author. Hopefully once I finish the novel I started I can publish it, but it will take lots of courage for me to do that.
@Jo4life That IS true! I've never been on a plane, and that would be such a cool experience. Oh, that and a train! It would be so amazing to go on a train ride... lol. And that is awesome about your novel! I hope you'll one day publish it!!!!!
For sure writing will be a part of my life, but I've thought about becoming a nurse or counselor... also a mechanic, but my mom says I should take an aptitude test first so that I have an idea of what I could get into
Oh, Yes that's cool! Our brother took one of those test and it came back with most the things he wanted to do....lol....so he just went with Electrical Engineering.
I've wanted to be an author ever since I (attempted) writing my first book at age 5 or 6, and it hasn't changed since. I also grew interested in singing a few years ago, so I think I want to be something like a singer/songwriter/author like Andrew Peterson, but with the emphasis more on being an author than a singer.
I have strengths in several areas, but I honestly am still thinking about it. Martial arts, writing, filmography/photography, or teaching have the most appeal to me at the moment.
@Zake O'Seddle My brother does Krav Maga! He's a yellow belt in the teens class - he just started several months ago. My family likes Krav because it doesn't have the weird spiritual aspect that some other martial arts have. I think eventually I'll do it too, maybe when my brother and I would both be in the adult class.
I'm leaning towards Youth Pastor right now. I've seen so many youth hurt by the church that I want to do something about it. I think it's what fits my gifts and my love for helping people the best.
okay, nevermind. i want to be a rabbit specialist veterinarian that works in an ER vet clinic. and side job of Writer, Farmer, and illustrator...

Wait, this said who do I want to be when I grow up, not what. So my answer is I want to be Helmer.
Lol, jk
Okay we took a career test and it basically confirmed what we wanted to be...lol....it even added some career options similar to what we already wanted to do...it was fun!!!
Those all sound like wonderful jobs! I have always wanted to be a vet, but I am going to try and be a writer on the side.

Okay, I just took a quiz and it says I should be a lawyer. Not quite what I was expecting. Apparently I'm good at arguing.

Kayti is leaning towards Writer, Illustrator, or working in a bookstore or library! Her big dream is to one day own her own bookstore and coffeeshop.
Rissy is leaning towards a dog or horse trainer, working at the shelter, Author, or possibly a photographer.
Jaidie wants to be a Writer and Illustrator.
