Picket rapped on the door of a small house making sure he kept an eye on Tris. “Stop that.” he commanded when she plasterd a fake smile on her face. She let it drop and frowned instead. The door opened and Tris blinked heavily. She knew that it was Louise Longtreader who stood in the doorway, smiling hugely, bur she looked so much like her mother that tears budded in her eyes. “Oh. Hello dear!” Said Louise, her smile dropping at the look on her husbands face. She rushed fowared her arms open and embraced Tris. Tris couldn‘t help herself. She let the tears role down her face and onto Weezie. Louise hugged her for a long while before letting her go. Trus composed herself before asking “why did you do that?” Louise smiled sadly saying,

“I know. I don’t know what your going through, absolutely not. But I do know how it feels when someone you love more then yourself is gone. They might not die, but they betray you, or fight against you, and you try and try to get rid of the piece of you who loved someone by smiling and laughing. and you go around, trying to live your life, but your broken on the inside.”

her voice was rising with pashion, though tears streamed down her face. ”Look at me.” She said, tilting Tris’s face so her eyes looked into her’s. ”be broken. Be in peices. And dont let anyone tell you to leave because once your broken you learn to accept again. learn to love again. be you. Be the broken, helpless, young doe you are because we deserve it. We deserve to feel our pain, let it out. So that when we smile we have less to hide. I hugged you because you’ve broken. And when your broken it’s hard to find someone to help. So I did the one thing that kept both me and my mother from giving up on life. Just a hug. Telling you that someone who doesnt know you loves you. Understood

Tris nodded before turning to leave. A hand stopped her. Louise looked at her pleadingly. “ please stay a bit.” But Tris shook her head. “I need to go talk to my father.” She said letting the tears continue to flow. Louise nodded and touched the mark on Tris’s cheek with a sigh. ”go. but visit soon.“

louise smiled sadly as Tris ran off to face her father.
