R. ----------------------------------------------------------- Laurel watched in horror as the birds of Prey and bucks of the administration crashed down upon the rabbits of Akolan. Remembering she stood in the middle of the chaos, she turned to run… and ran straight into a captain of the administration. He snarled at her as he drew a sword. “A part of this resistance, are we?” He raised his arm and prepared to bring the sword down on her and end her pitiful life. She could see the sun glint off the blade, but it appeared so slowly. The captains face was twisted in a sick grin, but he moved like a snail. This is the end.      Laurel inhaled deeply and clenched her fist. She would be ready. This was for everyone; everyone would be able to get to the seventh district and escape to freedom. Everyone would be able to help the Cause. And her? She would give her all for the Cause. She had given her heart. And now, she was giving her life.     Laurel looked up at the sword as it began to descend upon her. At least her parents wouldn’t see this horrid sight, the death of their child. At least Patrick was smuggled away to the seventh district. And Dylan?      Tears sprang to her eyes as she realized the horrible reality. Would Dylan choose the right side? Had he already? Or would he remain a traitor to both the Cause and her heart?
