Hi-yah guys, so here is chapter 22 it's not the best chapter I've ever written because I've been busy and I didn't get to write it yesterday like I normally do because I woke up and was kind of dizzy and Mom was worried so instead I had to write it this morning. So I didn't get all my ideas down that I wanted to and I had to change a few things but I think you guys will like it and it's also my last chapter for now because I'll be on vacation..so there'll be two weeks without any chapter and when I get back my next chapter will be through my silent warrior profile. So yeah, anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and like it!
God be with each and every one of you! I hope you have a wonderful weekend everyone! Pray for safe travels for me and my family on Sunday!
Your friend, Rissy
With widened eyes and a racing heart, Caspian stared, not able to move a signal muscle in his body. The only thing he was able to do was to watch the arrows soar through the sky with spectacular speed and he was not able to believe what he was seeing. They were going straight towards the bloody limp form of Ella.
As Caspian stood there in complete shock a thought swirled through his mind. How he could not repeat this again. He didn't want to watch another person die. The same thoughts echoed through his mind as they had before when his parents, sister, and brother died.
No. No, no, no, please, please, please, not again. I can't do this. I can't do this. Please, Maker. Please, don't let her die like you did to the last ones.
As those thoughts swirled through Caspian's mind like a pool of water he felt a flood of warm tears slip down his cheeks, soaking the soft gray fur on his face. At this moment standing there, Caspian felt completely useless. But it was more than useless, it was a pain. A pain that hurt deeply. It was the type of pain of losing someone else that was so, so close to you that you couldn't bear to stand and watch them die a slow painful death or even a fast one. With all of those thoughts entering his mind, Caspian slowly was able to snap himself out of the shock.
He fought back the tears as he turned towards Shasta who was looking straight at him with his big eyes full of sadness. Caspian knew why Shasta was so sad, if he didn't have so many wounds Shasta would go right now and save Ella. He would jump in the way of the two arrows even if it meant he was the one to die. Shasta was just that brave, unlike Caspian who didn't even know what to do.
Caspian turned to see where Edmund was but he was nowhere to be seen. He turned back to the arrows which were now just inches away from their target. Caspian felt Shasta's long, soft fur brush underneath his fingers. Not able to watch the scene that unfolded in front of him, Caspian fell to his knees and wrapped his arms around Shasta's neck as he closed his eyes and a flood of tears leaked from them into Shasta's thick, soft fur.
Caspian begged the Maker, One more time! Please Maker, if you're truly here and truly alive, please don't let her die! I've already lost so much! I can't bear to lose more! After a few minutes of begging the Maker for Ella's life, a miracle must have happened.
Caspian saw a grey rabbit out of the corner of his eye with a bow, arrow nocked, and pointed at the nearest arrow that would end Ella's life. Caspian watched as the grey buck took a deep breath before releasing the arrow, then he did. With spectacular speed the arrow sword through the sky and just before the other arrow could hit Ella that arrow splintered the other arrow into two pieces, leaving Ella completely unharmed, besides the other arrow that was coming for her.
Caspian watched the buck grab another arrow from his quiver and nock it. The buck took another deep breath before aiming at the other arrow, then he released. The arrow soared through the sky and once again broke the other arrow into two pieces and left Ella completely unharmed, which left Caspian in complete wonder. Who was this miracle buck? How was he so good with a bow?
Caspian watched the buck sling the bow over his shoulder as he ran towards Ella, who lay completely still on the ground covered in the red substance of blood. Caspian slowly shook off his amazement and ran over to Ella and the buck who now cradled Ella in his arms.
Caspian bent down beside the buck, now that he could actually get a good look at the buck he could tell that the buck was young, really young. He looked to be only twelve, apparently to be twelve he knew how to use a bow. The buck looked toward him with tears streaming from his face and said with a quiver in his voice and through sobs, "Who are you?"
"The names Caspian. You?" he said looking down at Ella then back at him.
"I'm Willum, Willum Longtreader and this here," the buck said looking down at Ella, "is my sister."
Btw...I can't remember how I spelled Willum's name...I hope this is right...lol...and sorry if the part about the arrows was confusing...I didn't know how else to explain...lol...I wanted something Robin Hoodish...lol...
Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!! HER BROTHER IS HERE!!!!! Oh wow. Okay. This is so very sad... maybe, just maybe she's alive?? Oh dear. That part about the arrows wasn't confusing... it was COOL, and awesome!!! Great job!!!!!!!!
