Hey guys, here's a chapter....I'm getting bored...lol...hope you like it!
Rissy
Caspian watched in a wave of confusion as Ella ran off. "Ella! " Caspian called out as loud he could but instead of answering him she just ran even faster, without even looking back. It stung Caspian as he could do nothing but watch her run off with anger towards him. Although deep down inside part of him told him to run after her, the other half told him to leave her alone.
The awful words she had said to him came back. "Don't you see this is all your fault! I don't want you here! I don't want you in my life just go away!" Caspian stumbled back as he thought hard about these awful words and what they truly meant. Did Ella really mean the words or was she only angry at him?
He shook his head, that was a question he could not answer, only Ella could. But Ella wasn't coming back. Caspian lowered his head in shame. Perhaps she was right. Maybe this was all his fault? To begin with, if he wouldn't have come here this wouldn't have happened, and if he would have kept a better watch on his brother it also would have never happened.
Caspian couldn't help but feel the pain from all of this and the weight on his shoulders caused him to droop and feel very sad. He slowly shook his head, chasing away all the thoughts, and turned to where Shasta and the other wolf were fighting. He was relieved to see that Shasta was perfectly fine besides having a few minor wounds and being covered in blood. Caspian glanced down to see the large wolf laying limply on the ground soaked in blood.
He turned back towards Shasta who was looking at him with a cocked head and a look of worriedness in his big, kind eyes. Shasta then slowly walked towards Caspian, and gently put his head under Caspian's good hand. Caspian looked down at his best friend in the entire world as tears poured out like a storm.
"Are you okay, my little rabbit friend?" Shasta asked in a smooth, low voice that made Caspian fall apart all the more. His whole body began to shake uncontrollably and he tried to pull himself together as he knew this was no time to be acting like a small child. There were wolves to fight and good rabbits to save, but he couldn't help slipping away into a world of tears.
Caspian fell to his knees while sobs shook him. He felt Shasta's paws go around him. Shasta then leaned away as Caspian grabbed his long snout with his good hand. Caspian then gently placed his small head against Shasta's larger one as he wept some more.
Shasta spoke softly, "It's going to be okay my little friend, it's going to be all right. You have every right to let it out so go ahead and let it come out because afterward, you'll feel like a new rabbit."
Caspian sobbed and shook all the more until he let it all out and then he did feel better. Shasta pulled away from him and said, "Now it's time to go save some good rabbits."
Caspian took a deep breath of air. "Before doing any of that I need to see where Ella is and Maraly and Sarah, they are my first priority," Caspian said.
"Then what are we waiting for," Shasta said.
Shaking his head, Caspian couldn't help but smile at Shasta. "I was wondering when you would say that," Caspian said as he drew his battleax free and ran off to find Ella and the other does. Shasta followed not far behind him.
Caspian ran so fast that everything was one big blur, rabbits running while wolves chased them and so much more he couldn't even make out. There was an awful smell of blood and smoke that overwhelmed him as he thought about what it could possibly mean. Was it Ella's blood or the other two does?
Caspian pushed himself to run faster until his lungs ached and were begging him to stop but he didn't. He pushed all of that aside. He saw a blur of black and grey fur pass him but then Shasta came to a stop, so Caspian stopped as well.
"Why did you stop?" Caspian said gasping for air.
But Shasta did not answer, it seemed that he was focused on something. So still gasping for air Caspian slowly walked around Shasta to see what he was so focused on. When Caspian saw what it was his heart nearly stopped, the limp form of Ella's body lay on the ground soaked in blood and a large wolf with red, glowing eyes stood over her, three other wolves lay on the ground with arrows sticking from them.
Caspian looked around to see where the archer was that caused this, then not far off he saw a red fox with two arrows nocked, a fierce look on his face. Both arrows were pointed straight at the wolf that was over Ella.
Caspian looked back to where Ella was then back at the arrows. It was too much of a risk, too much of a risk. Before he had time to say anything the arrows were released and flew through the air. The wolf moved off Ella and now the arrows were going straight towards her. Caspian's eyes widened.
