Grace quickly put her scarf on, beaming with joy. Alan had asked her to dinner with him. She smiled; he had really asked her. He liked her. Wait, was this really happening? Was she really going out with someone? With a buck. She was going out with Alan, but something troubled her from a few weeks ago. It was that buck that had said he was Alan’s father; she didn’t think he really was. Alan was an orphan, right?
Yeah, that’s what Alan had told her, and she believed him. Maybe the buck had gotten someone mixed up with Alan, like another Alan. She nodded to herself. Yeah, that was probably it. That’s why the buck had left when he saw that it wasn’t the Alan he was looking for. She smiled; that was it.
She opened the door and went outside, where Alan was waiting for her. She was really doing this. She was going to dinner with Alan, and he even looked happy.
He paced back and forth, thinking of a plan. Something, something to make Alan pay for what he had done. Something to make the little freak regret running away. But what? What could he do to make him pay? To make him come back, back to him, back to working for him. He knew the little freak wouldn’t just come back to him; no Alan, needed something to make him come back.
But what could he do to make the little freak come back? There must be something. Something he could do. Something that would bring him back. But what?
Pain, maybe pain was all the freak needed for him to come back. Then if the freak came they could go somewhere far away. Would pain really be all Alan needed to come running back? Pain had made Alan leave so, maybe it could bring him back. But he needed the little freak to work; he couldn’t hurt him, at least not too bad. If he couldn’t do that, then what could he do?
What could he do? He could try not hurting the freak, at least not too bad. Maybe he could give the freak pain in a different way by hurting someone he loved. But who? There was that doe Alan hangs out with, Grace. No, not her, she was a doe; he wouldn’t hurt her unless he had to. There was that orphan freak, Davy or whatever his name was. Alan cared about him.
But then he stopped pacing as a thought hit him. There was something else that Alan cared about more than Davy, the little one. Yes, Alan’s new little brother. He smiled to himself. Yes, that’s what he would do. He would get the little one then the freak would come back to him. No problem.
He chuckled. Yes, that’s what he would do. But he needed someone to help him; he couldn’t do it by himself. He needed someone to help him, but who? Maybe, just maybe, the orphan freak would help him. Of course, the orphan freak wouldn’t hurt Alan; or help him bring him back. But wait, the orphan didn’t know what he looked like. He grinned. Yes, he had it. He had a plan, a good plan.
“You won’t get away this time, freak,” he said to himself. Then he laughed as he took a drink from a bottle. Alan would never see it coming. No one would.
Hope you guys liked it!
