Disclaimer: I'm honestly not sure what to put here, so... Apart from Bailey/Broken Arrow, I do not own the characters. Um... other legal stuff... If anyone has a better way to phrase this part, please let me know so I can update it.
Bailey flew back into the fog, landing a little farther down than where she had taken off. It wasn't too bright out as she walked back towards the tree where she had hung her cloak. She was about to reach up and grab her cloak off the tree when she heard a rustle near her. She leapt back in surprise.
Still, Bailey quickly found herself on her back with a sword pointed at her, held by a black rabbit. "He-ello, Strider," Bailey stammered, trying to back away.
"Strider?" the rabbit asked, slight confusion on his face. "Is that a code name or something that the wolves have given me?"
Bailey calmed down slightly, like she always did when she got to explain Lord of the Rings to someone. "No, no, no," Bailey said, smiling slightly, "It's from a series called Lord of the Rings, that I read a lot. Strider, also known as Aragorn, is an awesome character. He…"
Helmer was losing patience. "I really don't care," he said, annoyance growing in his voice, "What were you doing just now?"
"Flying," Bailey said, showing her wings as an explanation.
"What were you really doing, meeting up with other wolves and giving up our secrets?" Helmer said, not believing her.
"No, I told you, I was flying."
Helmer still didn't believe her. "Well, if you insist on your story, you leave me no choice." He adjusted his grip on his sword.
Bailey's eyes widened. "Please don't hurt me. I'm telling the truth!"
"You've made your choice," Helmer said menacingly. He stood poised to kill her, believing that she was a threat.
Yes, this is a really short chapter, but I wanted to separate it from Chapter 12. I'll post Chapter 14 relatively soon, but you will have to wait in suspense for a little bit. *evil laughter* And yes, Strider. I'm reading Lord of the Rings right now, so...
As always, any feedback would be great and I hope you like it!
Oh no!!! I knew something bad was going to happen when the last chapter was looking so well... lol... trouble never dies, as S. D. Smith once wrote. I loved when you wrote, "Bailey calmed down slightly, like she always did when she got to explain Lord of the Rings to someone." I can actually relate, as long as I'm not trying to explain the complexities cause I just make them more complex... haha. Wonderful job!!!
ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Hel-mer... [yes that was supposed to be a worried whine] dont kill her.
[:))) im reading the Lord of the Rings as well, just finished the hobbit...]
great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you made me almost fall off my chair... just don't wait too long... [unlike me.... :|]
I just realized this is Chapter 13, that's kind of funny...
