"A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri reminds me of Smalls and Heather.

Rihanna’s “We Found Love” seems like a good Smalls and Heather in the Dragon Tomb song. The yellow diamonds line also seems like a neat nod to the other jewels in the Crown of Flames. The dance music also seems like it could potentially fit a (non-gratuitous) sequence of Smalls and Heather mowing down the dragons.😈

Just listening to some of these songs... They haven't been on the radio recently and... I love these songs...

There's this song from Rend Collective which is so much like GE. Plus, they are literately carrying the flame in the video:

"i am a warrior, i will survive!" [it's a christian song we hear on the radio all the time, surprising i don't remember more..]

I just recently found another Five Iron album, which I am really happy about, and a couple of the songs that made me think Green Ember. One of them was called See the Flames Begin to Crawl that made me think of Helmer. Especially where it says, "But you are the one, the spark that was spawned Who picks up the pieces, and passes it on." I can see him singing this to Picket before the last battle, if he was the singing type.

Also, there is a song called Cannonball that makes me think of Picket or maybe Jo, or maybe just the Fowlers in general. "hulking, smashing, i come crashing, nothing like when i was small. I am unstoppable, I am the cannonball. that feeble coward that you knew, has undergone an overhaul, I am unstoppable, I am the cannonball."

If y'all have seen an American Tale: the song Somewhere out There reminds me so so much of Pick and Heather, Whittle and Wilfred, etc....

I was just listening to some music by Five Iron Frenzy and To Start a Fire started playing. It made me immediately think of Green Ember, not exactly sure who or what though. Also, We Own the Skies by Five Iron Frenzy kind of makes me think of Picket. All he left behind to try to protect those he cared about. Also, "we own the skies." Flying Picket, anyone?

- "Carry the Fire" by Andrew Peterson: It has a lot of Bible-specific imagery that doesn't correlate precisely with GE, but the theme is very fitting, plus "Carry the Fire" and "Bear the Flame" are basically synonymous.

- "Liar" by The Arcadian Wild (heheh, I'm a fan, if you couldn't tell): today I was listening to it and it made me think of Kyle/Kylen, and the inner turmoil I think he had over his deception.

This is a great song for Picket! Just found it today, new favorite....lol...

End Of Time - Alan Walker: This just has TGE vibes.

A Million Dreams - The Greatest Showman: This is my go to song for when I want to try and describe Emma in my head.

Anything Andrew Peterson! You name one and I can relate it to GE.

Maroon 5’s Memories could have been written by Picket in the last chapters of Ember’s End.

Another for King & Country song, Without You reminds me a lot of Heather and Smalls.

So I heard Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” while driving recently, and got some real #Peezie vibes. Ignoring the car reference early in the song, it seems to fit Picket’s observations of and feelings towards Weezie in Ember Rising and Ember’s End.

Heh heh...maybe the reason Sween turned Garten’s proposal down was because he started by serenading her with Duran Duran’s Hungry Like the Wolf.

Together - For King and Country, it’s great for EE... fits it perfectly!

Especially the chorus where they say if “if we rise we will rise together,if we fall we will fall together.”
