The girl walked into the fellowship hall after the long and well read sermon, they had celebrated the pastor 19th anniversary for leading the church, Joy laughed in her heart but Hunger snarled in her belly as she reached the line and smiled, two visitors were in line next to her and her good friend, they were about her age. The boy smiled in greeting and walked over his sister followed closely.
After a few minutes of meet and greet they began to talk books, soon they were speaking of one of her favorites:The Green Ember.
"So." The boy said running a hand through his black, well-kept hair. "Have you noticed yet?"
"What?" the curly headed girl said, pushing her glasses back up her nose and looked behind her for her friend, she was busy speaking with some of the youth from their church. The boy's sister was standing next to her brother intently listening.
"The Green Ember!" He said. "It's Properties and what and how it affects others have you noticed?" The curly-haired girl pushed back an untamed frizz back and bit her lip. She didn't follow. "Not in the slightest." She said.
The boy grinned slightly, this was going to be a long theory.

The Green Ember, if you think about it. Think of all who have held the green flame, they came close to death but didn't die. In the first book smalls held and ALMOST died, but Picket saved him. Bk 3 Heather held it and more than once was saved. So, what if Aunt Jone's tonic isn't the answer, but the stone is? This magical rock has to be the answer, every book from the main series is named after it! Is this what happened? Is that why Morbin wants it so bad?
-@Dikko_The_Squolf Out. :)
I am sure it is not 'magic' but the rabbits will probably look at it that way. But anyone holding the Ember at the time never actually die though.
Magic might not exist in Natalia, but spiritual gifts—such as Heather’s visions—definitely do. The Green Ember could be a sort of Holy Grail to the animals—not really possessing any power, but they think it does, therefore Morbin has spent his entire life trying to obtain it. (I would LOVE to hear Smalls give a speech on how the Ember isn’t what Morbin thinks it is!) Really interesting theory! Can’t wait to see how Book 4 pans out and how many of our guesses turn out to be canon!
Hmmm... A valid theory.
I just don't think that "magic" exists in Natalia- and though it's perhaps hinted at (aunt jone, tameth seer, the whole sword and book thing) I don't think that the Green Ember itself has any magical powers.
I do think the carvings on the back are gonna play into it. they've been mentioned too much to be "nothing." Ditto with Aunt Jone's Tonic.
Man... Never thought of it like that. Also, you wrote that well
the theory is not mine all credit goes to the boy in the fellowship hall not me.
(this event happened on 10/06/19 and I will not give out names but the girl is yours truly :1 )
Those are really awesome theories. I never thought about that. I totally agree with you Dikko(sorry, if anyone wants me to call them something else, please tell me. I don't want to offend anyone), that's a really good theory.
cool! But I think that he was holding it, i'll get back to you when I've checked, and the story is based on a experience from this Sunday.
EDIT: @LuvGreenEmber you were right, but more than once it did save him. And it has saved many others, heirs, and not heirs, check the books, i'm right.
This is really interesting! I don't think Smalls was holding the Green Ember when Picket rescued him though. Didn't Garten have it?
I've always thought there was something strange about the Green Ember. Did you guys ever notice the mention of the pattern on the back? It's mentioned a few times. I think it might be the key to the place where Flint's sword and Fay's book are (a deep, hidden room in the dragon tomb, I'm guessing). Remember? "Only the heirs have the key." That's what the Master Smith of Harbone said. I think that the Green Ember is the key!
