There is something fun that S.D. Smith had put in his books. If you go to the Copyright page and read through the, All rights reserved, paragraph. You will find around the end of it a funny sentence or two.
A couple of hidden names I've noticed in recent reread are 1) Randalgam's History of War (a reference to Randall Goodgame) and 2) Lord Jaymin kin Black Star), probably a reference to Jamin Still
The Green Ember/Black Star: This book is about, not for, rabbits. Silly reader, books are for kids.
Ember Falls: Hundreds of imaginary animals were harmed in the making of this book.
Ember Rising: Bunny discretion advised: May contain scenes of violence against rabbits.
The Archer's Cup: There’s always a rabbit joke here, but everyone knows that rabbits don’t tell jokes. Hares, on the other hand, are hare-larious.
*frantically looks for green ember books*
Hope it's okay is I share the one from the new book... if you don't want to see it then don't scroll down and look at it.
Think that's enough chance for you to leave if you didn't want to see it....
"This book is published under protest from the international coalition for the polite treatment of dragons."
"This book is not intended for the wolf audience."
"A rabitual liar is someone who can't stop fibbing about rabbits. the science is settled on that"
"Rabbits, rabbits, they've got habits. they don't whine when there bored. fluffy ears, cotton rears, and awesome when they've got swords."
[from the copy right pages of TFF, TLA, and TWaRoWM.
I love the copy right part of The last archer (I think) that said the book was not intended for wolves!!
Sarahmac is Sarah Mckenzie. One of the copyright easter eggs was a reference to a Randal Goodgame song.
The one for Ember’s End though:
”Several raptors were injured in the making of this book, but no Toronto Raptors.”
Anyone else think ”injured” is pretty mild for a book in which LITERALLY EVERY RAPTOR dies?
The Potter Eefaw was also named after a real Potter

Yeah, like Captain Frye and the basketball player Frye.
Those aren't the only Easter eggs, though... Lots of characters' names are references to actual people.
