WHOA!!!!!! They're just... amazing! Everything about all of them is awesome - the composition, focus, lighting. I guess my favorites are the... actually I can't choose. But if I had to, I'd say the sunset ones (or sunrise?), and the second to last one. That wave is fabulous and you caught it at just the right time. Great job!
Thanks! I used a Canon Rebel T6 for all of these, though I recently upgraded to a Canon 6D (the old one, not the Mk II). No matter what you were taking those other pictures with, they still look great! Honestly, I think that thinking about your photos and considering how you can improve is often more important than what equipment you use. The most high-end camera isn't worth much if the user doesn't put effort into learning how to take good pictures.
And the first three were at Joshua Tree, yes. Its a really neat and kind of surreal place, just not worth staying very long in the daytime during the summer (by 7:30am the sun was uncomfortably hot). The chipmunk was in the mountains, though I did see (and get a couple of pictures of) some rabbits at Joshua Tree.
The first three are from Joshua Tree National Park (when I went out to see the comet back in July), the next two are from the San Bernardino Mountains, the two sunset shots are from Sunset Beach (unironically), the wave is from Morro Bay, and the last one is from Denali NP in Alaska (amazing place!).
Thanks! There are some pretty great cameras on the market right now for fairly low prices (relatively, given that practically everything in photography is some level of expensive😑). For context, all of the pictures here I took with a Canon Rebel T6, which is very much an entry-level camera.
Used gear can be much more affordable, you just need to know what to look for so as to not get something in poor condition.
That said, I've seen some pretty impressive stuff shot on gopros as well.
awesome!!!!!! i like photography too, but i'm really not that good yet....
WOW, that looks AMAZING.
Wow! That wave looks perfectly inviting to jump into, and the nighttime pictures look like a desktop background.

WOW! I love them! The one above the last one if my favorite!
WOW 🤩 those are beautiful!!! The siluets of the trees are great and I love the wave you captured! What camera do you have? I was only using my ipod for my pics and now I think I need a real camera 😂 also, are you in Joshua tree park in the first four pictures?
Btw, where did you take some of these?
Wow these are beautiful, amazing job!!! I really enjoy photography also, but I only have a Gopro, so I hope to get a real camera one day.
