The Green Ember - fan fiction
By: @Emerald of Hope & Revona Hawk (me, obviously)
Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius live in a big stone mansion at the end of my street.
Whenever it’s rainy, I take my umbrella and walk over to visit them because they have the most beautiful library in the world. It has stained glass windows and miles and miles of books. They have tiny books as small as a songbird and huge books as big as me. Some of the books have old maps; and some of the books have fairy tales from all over the world, printed in gold ink. Most days I pull a book from the shelf and sit in the velvet armchair with a plate of Mrs. Cornelius’ cookies.
But somthing extraordinary happened last week, when I pulled a book from the tiptop shelf, a secret panel swung open!
Reaching into the exposed space, I brushed the thick cob webs out of the way. Dust billowed into the air, causing a sneezing fit. The ladder wobbled treacherously, but soon steadied. I could contain my curiosity no more. Feeling around the dusty dark space, my hand touched somthing cold and hard. Slowly pulling it out, I let go of a gasp.
Was this the book of legend? Forged from a fallen star, or dreamt up by unspoken powers? Trembling, I opened the old stone pages.
The book of Fay, once thought a legend, was now in my hands. And what of Flint’s sword? Was it still lying at the bottom of Aymen lake, or had prince Lander stored it away along with the dragon seeds of old?
Legend has it that the book contains the powers of Fay, and the sword the bravery of Flint. I studied the pages, but the words made no sense. On the front was a carving of a sword, Flint's sword, possibly lost in the wreck of Whitson Meryner, no one knows for sure.
I relized then that I must not let the book fall into the wrong hands. My journey would be long and tiring, but the Green Ember, the rulling stone of old, Fay’s book and Flint’s sword must be brought back together to save rabbitkind, and end Morbin’s terror. The dragons must never see the light of day.

I shall endeav*o*r to write some fanfics as good as this. Also, nice setting.
