Okay guys, last Chapter for two weeks!!! Hope y’all likey!!! I’ll post the next chapter when I get back, also the chapter will probably be posted by @Dragon Girl and not @The Fowlers so don’t be alarmed, it’s still me. Okay, without further ado here’s the chapter!!!
Peter craned his neck to try and see over the crowd of rabbits but it was no use. He sighed and glanced over at Tyse, who smiled weakly at him. Peter huffed and looked down. This was stupid.
He heard crying and looked over to see a child being torn away from its mother. Peter quickly looked away. He felt sick being here. He had always just hidden on Victory Day, but now he was forced to stand and watch children being taken from their families all because the Pac-Slayer had a plan and he was going to save them.
Yeah right, Peter thought. Ever since that guy had come to the Citadel of Dreams things had changed quickly, almost too quickly, and now Peter himself was standing in the square with a bunch of rabbits he didn’t even know while children were being torn from their families. But, of course, the Pac-Slayer had a plan.
Peter rolled his eyes. Bother, it didn’t look like a very good plan at the moment, in fact, he didn’t even see the guy anywhere. He was probably working for Morbin and this was all a big trap.
Peter sighed. He waited and waited and waited, nothing. No Pac-Slayer. Well looks like their hero’s a no-show. Peter sighed and looked up at the sky. It was clear and blue but Peter knew soon it would be full of birds of prey coming to take the lives of innocent children and they could do nothing about it. Especially now that their hero was nowhere to be seen. Peter huffed but something in the sky moved.
Peter squinted. Was it a bird of prey? No, it was too small to be a bird of prey. He craned his neck, his eyes widened, and he stifled a gasp. It was a rabbit and it was flying. A rabbit was flying!
He remembered Tyse’s story about the Pac-Slayer flying, but it couldn’t be possible. It just couldn’t. Peter glanced over at Tyse with eyes full of disbelief.
Tyse smiled proudly and whispered, “Do you believe in him now?"
Peter nodded slowly, before looking back at the flying rabbit. The Pac-Slayer had landed on one of the standing stones a torch in his hand. Peter looked at Tyse. “What is he doing up there?"
Tyse shrugged, Peter frowned and looked up as the Pac-Slayer raised the torch and yelled, “The seed of the new world smolders, healing is on the horizon but a fire comes first, Bear the flame!”
And with that, he lowered the torch. Before Peter knew what was happening he was knocked to the ground by Tyse as large pieces of stone flew in every direction. The sound of the explosion rang in his ears, so he clamped his hands over his ears and looked in the direction where the standing stone had just exploded. All he could see was smoke.
He squinted and saw a black buck in the front of the crowd. The buck had blood running down his right leg and his clothes were torn and dirty. The buck picked two of the children up and turned toward him. Peter’s eyes widened.
“Rexly!?”
Ta-dah!!! Have a great day!!!
Jaidie/Dragon Girl
Oh Peter!!! You know what, this may sound crazy but if Pick was in Peter's situation, I think he would react similarly to the reports of a legend!! Am I crazy for thinking that, lol? Aww, when Tyse said, “Do you believe in him now?" I was reminded of when Lucy said that in the Prince Caspian movie! I love it!!! Your writing is very immersive... while reading it makes me feel like I'm right there!!!!
REXLY!!!!!!! I need to draw him. Ahhh!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! Love this story!!! Peters disbelief turned to belief was incredible!
Oh yeah!!! Rexly!
