Hey guys here’s chapter 4

Alan ran for a long while, but he stopped as he neared a clearing where a group of about twenty bucks was gathered. He looked the group over, then smiled as he caught sight of David. David was pacing back and forth, a worried look on his dark furred face. Alan walked into the clearing as he said, “David.”

David stopped pacing and looked up at Alan and smiled, “Alan, you’re here, you made it.” David said as he walked over to Alan.

“Yeah, I did.” Alan said rubbing his bleeding arm.

“Who’s this David?” A tall white buck asked as he came over to them.

“Oh, yeah everyone this is Alan,” David said waving his hand toward Alan. All the bucks looked at Alan.

The white buck took one look at Alan’s face then said, bluntly, “I don’t like you.” Then spun around and waked off towards a grey doe. Wait a doe?

Alan looked to David and whispered, “I thought you said there weren’t going to be any does.”

David shrugged. “She came with her brother.”

Alan nodded then winced and clutched his arm. David looked at him, “You okay?”

Alan nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine.”

“Alan, you’re bleeding, that looks bad. Do you need me to wrap it for you before we go?” David asked, concern in his voice.

Alan shook his head, “No, I don’t need help.”

David nodded. “Okay then we move out, but Alan if you want to talk…”

“No, no, I don’t.” Alan said, a little defensively.

David sighed, “Fine I’ll go tell the others were ready,” David said as he walked off. He then started saying “Come bucks and doe, let’s go.”

They all started walking, and Alan followed but they hadn’t gone far before he stopped and cocked his ear. He heard something. Shouts.

“Hey! Y’all stop right there!”

Alan turned around and his ears flattening against the back of his head as his eyes went wide with horror. It was the Black Band. But then he heard David yell one single word, “Run!”
