Here’s chapter 11 guys! Hope you like it and also this will be the only chapter I post this week cause of Thanksgiving, just thought I’d let you guys know. 😉
Alan woke his leg throbbed and his head swam, where was he? What happened? He tried to open his eyes, but he couldn’t he was tired. Then he heard a voice, a soft, sweet voice singing…
“The skies once so blue and beautiful,
Are littered with crass, cruel foes.
Their bleak, black wings beat a dreadful beat,
Over sorrowful songs of woes.
“Songs of suffering and cruel murders,
All lament and never a voice.
Raised with grateful gladness to the heights,
Never reason to rejoice.
“But,
It will not be so in the Mended Wood,
We’ll be free and glad again.
It will not be so in the Mended Wood,
When the heir of Jupiter reigns,
When the heir of Jupiter reigns.
“Oh how I long for that day…”
The doe sighed, she sounded like an angel, was he dead? But the pain in his leg told him he wasn’t dead, but who was this doe? Was it the pretty grey doe? He forced himself to open his eyes.
No, it was not the grey doe, this doe was a beautiful golden doe which he might have trusted except she was wearing a medic uniform. He hated hospitals, he sat up quickly a sharp pain shot up his leg. He clinched his teeth to block out the pain.
The doe got up, “Woah, its okay, I’m not going to hurt you.”
Alan turned his head away hoping that she hadn’t seen his ugly face and said, “Go away!”
The doe backed away, “Its okay, I’m not doing anything to hurt you, just help you. Now please calm down. My name it Grace, what’s your name?”
“Go away, please. I don’t need your help.”
The doe came closer. “Hey, I didn’t do anything to you, I’m just trying to help you get better, so you want to get better or not?” She said putting her hands on her hips.
“Well, I…I…I… yeah.” Alan muttered, he hated the hospital, just because he was hurt, they thought he couldn’t do anything for himself. He wasn’t weak, but then he felt sick in his stomach, he needed out. He swung his legs out of the bed then made for the door, but his legs buckled beneath him.
He cried out then fell face first on the floor and then he lost it, right in front of another medic doe. Great, he thought to himself, great, just great. This is so interesting he just got sick in front of not one but two does this was great, so embarrassing.
Hope you guys liked it, sorry it was a little bit long. 😊
Ughhh wow! Beautiful... Alan reminds me of a certain young buck who didn't want Smalls to carry him when he couldn't run himself!!!! I agree wholeheartedly with the others - I love Grace. She seems to have a bit of that Emma spunk in her and yet also a lot of compassion. 💚💚💚
