Hey guys here is chapter three! Hope you guys like it!
Alice slowly opened her eyes, squinting at the sunlight that came through her bedroom window. She pulled the cover over her head. She wasn't ready to get up, at least not yet. It was too early, and she didn't want to get ready for the day.
She had no idea as to what she would wear, and she felt so sick. She had never felt like this before. What did this feeling mean? Was she going to be sick? Was she catching a cold? No, it wasn't that kind of sick. She hadn't slept well at all last night; she wondered if Pearl had slept well?
She heard her mother calling her for breakfast, but she wasn't hungry. She just wanted to sleep and rest before the dance, which she was not looking forward to. Everyone would look at her, and all the does would be so jealous that Aaron had asked her. She was the lucky one; she got to go with Aaron to the dance. All the does wanted to go with Aaron.
She heard the door open and then heard a beautiful voice that sounded like an angel, Pearl. "Alice, get up. Momma's cooking breakfast, and you need to eat."
Alice pulled the cover further over her head. "Go away so I can get some rest."
"Ali, get up!" Pearl said, her voice firm showing she would take no more of this foolishness.
Alice pulled the covers off her head as she sat up and looked a Pearl, her golden eyes flashing. Pearl was average in height, had long cream-ish fur with a pink undertone. Pearl was a rare and unique kind of rabbit and that was one of the things that made her so beautiful. Pearl had bright blue eyes that sparkled and danced when the light reflected in them. Her sister was beautiful. Pearl looked like a queen.
Alice smiled as she said, "Okay, I'm coming. You win."
Pearl smiled, which made her face light up. Alice sighed. Pearl was gorgeous; everyone's light and joy. Pearl was their bright light.
Alice watched as Pearl walked over to her and said gently, "Are you worried about the dance or nervous?"
Alice looked into Pearl's beautiful, sparkling blue eyes. "I don't want to talk about it, at least not now. I don't even know what to wear, and the thought of having everyone looking at me makes me want to gag. I just want to hide." Alice buried her face in her hands.
She felt Pearl's hand on her shoulder and looked into her older sister's face. "You can do this. Just be yourself and don't try to be like others. Sure, people might judge you, but sometimes that means they just want to be like you, or they're jealous. You can do this, Alice, I know you can. You can do anything you have even taught me to do stuff."
Pearl then hugged her, and Alice hugged her sister back. Pearl always knew the right words to say, and she always made her feel better. “Thank you, sis,” Alice said.
The two sisters broke away from the hug as they heard their Momma calling them for breakfast. Alice finished getting ready, and then they headed downstairs together.
Momma already had the plates laid on the table, and their father sat at the head of the table reading a book. Seeing things so normal, even when she felt so nervous, made her relax. Alice sat down beside her father. Pearl went and sat by their mother, and then they ate breakfast.
Later that day, Alice got ready for the spring dance with Pearl’s help, of course. She wore a violet dress with a long, slightly darker violet ribbon tied around her waist. Little flowers danced a little way up the skirt from the hem, and she thought the dress was gorgeous. Pearl then clasped a necklace around her neck. It was a little blue gem shaped like a flower, her favorite thing.
Alice then looked in the mirror and almost gasped. She looked pretty, at least as pretty as one could look when your fur was the color of mud. She looked over at Pearl and hugged her sister. Then she whispered in Pearl's ear, “Wish me luck.”
Alice knew she needed luck. She was so nervous she felt sick.
“Have confidence in yourself,” Pearl said, smiling at her, “You look beautiful.”
They broke from the hug holding each other’s hands and looking at each other. Then there was a knock at the door.
Alice froze. He was here. What should she do? Pearl smiled at her and gently pushed her towards the door. Alice took a deep breath and opened the door.
Aaron stood there looking handsome, but behind Aaron was a buck. But not just any buck. She looked over Aaron’s shoulder, glaring at the buck as she said, her voice rough, “Digory.”
She saw Digory glare back at her as he said, “Alice.”
“Do you two know each other?” Aaron asked, looking from one to the other of them.
Alice heard him say it, but she ignored it as she glared hard a Digory. She hated Digory, and she wasn’t going anywhere if he was going. If Aaron wanted Digory to come, he could forget about her. She felt sicker by the moment so, she looked at Aaron. “I’m not going anywhere if he goes,” Alice said as she pointed at Digory.
Aaron looked confused, but she wasn’t going to budge. The only thing she wanted right now was for Digory to leave, and that was what was going to happen one way or another. Either Digory wasn’t going with them, or she wasn’t going.
I LOVED THISSSSS!!!! It was beautifully written and mmmm! The descriptions were awesome. <3 Lol, I agree with Cassie - Alice's stubborness is a little too much. But I still like her a lot. Oh, and Peals sounds so beautiful. I love her, although I feel like there may be some trouble between them, since she is the one who lights up people's worlds, not Alice. I don't know... lol. Anyway, yeah, I loved this!!!!!
SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!
Forgot, feedback please and this is by Rissy!
