Hey guys...I'm so bored and tired of this fanfic so I'm gonna wrap it up in the next few chapters....anyway next chapter will be in Lost Longtreaders....feedback welcome!
Rissy
Alice slid off the bird's back as a large sword soared past her head. Her heart began to race with great booms that seemed to haunt her like a nightmare that was just beginning. Her whole body shook with a fear that was beginning to entrap her as she took a few steps away from the bird. She winced and almost groaned as pain shot through her foot and her arm, she had almost forgotten about it until now. Alice tried to push the pain side like she had done so many times before, but it was impossible. Frantically, she began to look around for any sign of Aaron.
She couldn't find him anywhere in the chaos that surrounded her like a fog that was slowly closing in around her. A loud piercing screech rang in her ears and it brought her back to the present. She shook her head as she looked up into the sky to see something that made her freeze. She was staring directly into the large bird's dark eyes. They were filled with pure hatred that seemed to cut through her very soul. Its large wings were sending out a gust of wind as its sharp talons hung nearby. The bird was massive, only a few inches away from her.
Alice was unable to move no matter how hard she tried it wasn't going to happen. She tried to scream for help but not even that would happen. She was frozen as solid as a chunk of ice. Unable to move a muscle, unable to speak. She couldn't even force herself to breathe she only stared at the bird and its sharp talons. Its large figure began to come closer and closer towards her, it was ready to kill its prey.
Alice couldn't seem to snap herself out of the fear. She couldn't even hear that Aaron was calling her name. Couldn't see Eileen locked in deadly combat with Lancely. It was like the whole world was fading away from her.
"Alice! Alice, look out!" Aaron yelled, but Alice did not hear any of it for the bird was now an inch away from her, the only thing she could hear was the sound of the bird's wings beating against the wind and her own heart pounding fiercely against her chest. Alice thought that this was the end.
But then a loud screech, followed by an eerie silence and calm. Alice came back to the present as she watched the bird fall hard to the ground, an arrow sticking from its side. The bird was dead. Tears filled her eyes as she thought about how she could have been the one on the ground, the one that was dead. But she wasn't, someone had saved her and whoever it was she owed that rabbit her life.
Alice wanted to crumble and bury her face in her hands but that wasn't going to happen, not since there was a war going on around her. She felt a gentle hand on her shoulder and turned to see Aaron and Akrasia, who had another arrow ready to fire. Alice gazed at Aaron, she wanted to hug him, to apologize for everything she had done but now was not the time and she knew that.
"Are you okay?" he asked with a worried tone.
Alice nodded. "Yes."
"We need to get y'all out of here before it's worse, there's no use for all of us to die. I and my sister are going to stay and fight, while we can," Akrasia said as she fired an arrow towards a bird. The arrow soared through the sky and hit its target. Another screech filled the air as the bird collapsed with a loud thump.
Alice watched as Aaron looked at Akrasia and yelled, "No, I can't leave! I have to stay here with Cassidy I have to help her. I need to know that she's alive!"
Akrasia looked at him with a wild look as she drew her sword. Alice watched with amazement as Akrasia seemed to be calming herself down and said, with a sweet quiet tone, "I'm sorry, but I already checked to see if she was alive. I am so sorry, but she is dead."
Alice looked at Aaron to see tears falling from his face and dripping down from his cheeks. She grabbed his own arm with a gentle squeeze. "I am so sorry, Aaron. I know how you feel, to lose someone that you love most, I feel your loss and I want to run standing by you every step of the way through the dark and the light. We will get through with this, but it will take time and lots of tears and anger, but we will get through this. One day we will look back on all the happy things we treasured with them." Alice let her own tears fall from her face.
She saw Akrasia walk towards them with a sad look in her eyes. Akrasia then laid a hand on each of their shoulders. "I am honored to know y'all and yes we shall get through this friends, stay strong and stay true to the Maker for he is the key to all good things my friends. Now it is time for y'all to leave. I must stay here, I and Eileen will fight them while y'all escape. I want you to run and not look back, not even if you're tired, not even for a moment."
Alice grabbed Aaron's arm as he turned his head towards her.
"Let's go!" she said.
oh nooooooooooooo i can't.......... Cassidy........ no no no... why Rissy? WHY??? good job on the fanfic!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT??? YOU KILLED CASSIE??????? Wow. I definitely did not expect that. Poor Aaron.
I understand getting bored, and I love the Lost Longtreader.
Good job, Rissy!!!
Oh my goodness, I love this so much!!! Wow, what a relief that the bird was shot before it got her!!! (By the way, it wasn't too clear exactly who shot it though, was it Aaron or Akrasia? That might sound dumb, lol.) Also, you mentioning that Eileen was locked in deadly combat with Lancely... a huge cliffhanger, lol. I'm on the edge of my seat in excitement!!!! Poor Aaron. I bet he and Alice will grow closer through them both experiencing loss though, as horrible as it is. So awful about Cassady.
Lol I understand you being bored of this fanfic, not because I'm bored of it at all, but because I get bored of my books and stuff so quickly myself. You've kept up with this so amazingly, and the writing has been so well done in all the chapters, so congratulations lol!
