“Hanna,” Maylie whispered.

Hanna spun around. “What?”

“I think I found him,” Maylie said, motioning for them to come.

Hanna nodded and walked towards her. Niles looked up at Jo and shrugged as he went over to the girls, Jo followed reluctantly.

“Here,” Maylie said. “I think it leads to another cell,” she continued tapping on a small iron door.

Hanna nodded and went to open the door.

“Wait!” Jo yelled, grabbing Hanna's arm. “What if it’s a trap?”

“What if it isn’t? And we finally find the answer to our parents disappearance?” Hanna said bitterly.

“But what if the truth isn’t what you want to hear?” Jo asked, his deep brown eyes showing fear.

“I’ll take that chance,” Hanna said, as she jerked her arm from his grasp and opened the door.

The door creaked open.

Hanna nodded and walked inside the room, followed by Niles, Maylie, and finally a fear stricken Jo.

“Its so dark,” Maylie whispered a quiver in her voice.

“I’m not scared,” Niles said, as he walked around disappearing into the darkness.

“Niles!” Jo said, stepping forward, but Hanna stopped him.

“He knows what he’s doing,” Hanna said, as she started scanning the area for what she was looking for.

They heard a gasp from the darkness, then a familiar voice.

“Uh, Hanna, what does Booker, look like?” Niles said.

“Why do ask?” Hanna asked, hope filling her.

“Because I think I might have found him,” Niles answered.

“Okay, stay were you are, we're coming,” Hanna called, she started walking towards Niles’s voice.

When she reached were Niles was she gasped.

“Rynn?” she whispered, looking at the rabbit in front of her. His eyes were closed, his clothes torn, his brown fur covered in scars, and his breaths were shallow.

“Rynn Booker?” Hanna whispered.

His eyes flitted open.

“Maggie?” he said his voice raspy and weak.

Hanna shook her head. “No, I’m not Maggie. I’m Hanna,” she said.

“You sound like Maggie,” Rynn said. “Where’s Fane?”

“Fane isn’t here, we’re not here to hurt you,” Hanna said.

“Then why are you here?” Rynn said, as he fell into a coughing fit.

“We need your help,” Hanna said, as she pulled a small piece of paper from her skirt. “With this, it’s coded we can’t read it, but I believe its your handwriting.”

Rynn hung his head. “I’m so sorry you’ve wasted all your time,” he said coughing.

“What do you mean?” Hanna said coolly.

“I…I can’t…See,” Rynn said, tears filling his eyes.

“What? No!” Hanna said, banging her fist on the wall.

Footsteps sounded in the distance.

“Their coming!” Jo yelled.

“Wait, I know someone else who can read the note for you,” Rynn said.

“Who?” Hanna said, frantically looking around.

Hanna could tell Rynn's strength was draining, but she didn’t have much time.

“Who Rynn?!” she said.

“William…Kingston palace…Third floor…” Rynn said, before collapsing.

“Let’s go!” Hanna said.

“He needs help,” Niles said.

“We need to go now!” Hanna said, grabbing Niles’s arm and dragging him out.

They ran down the hall, but stopped as they came face-to-face with Saige BlackStar.

“I knew you couldn’t be trusted!” Hanna yelled, as the guards came ever closer.
