Merry Christmas!โโ๐ฆ๐
Jaidie/Dragon girl
โJo, wake up! Wake up! Wake up, its Christmas! Its Christmas! Wake up!โ
Jo groaned and opened his eyes to see Evan hovering over him.
โIts Christmas! Come on, get up!โ Evan shouted, shaking him.
โOkay, okay, just give me a minute,โ Jo said, groaning as he swung himself out of bed.
Evan smiled big before running out of the room.
Jo quickly got dressed before running downstairs. Weezie was standing at the bottom of the stairs by a small table. Weezie smiled and hugged him.
โMerry Christmas Jo,โ she whispered as she broke away from the hug and handed him a warm cup of hot chocolate.
โMerry Christmas mom,โ Jo said as he walked into the living room.
Evan motioned for him to come sit on the couch beside him. Jo smiled as he walked over to where Evan was and sat beside him.
Once all the kids were there, Smalls and Picket started sorting out the presents and setting them in piles by whoever they belonged to.
Evan picked up one of his presents and shook it. Jo scowled and elbowed him, shaking his head, Evan sighed and set the present down with a frown.
Conner, who was sitting on the other side of Jo, tapped Jo's arm, when Smalls and Picket came to the last present. Jo sat up straight, a smile coming to his lips.
Smalls and Picket looked confused.
โIts for y'all!โ Evan shouted eagerly.
โFor all of y'all,โ Maggie said, motioning to Heather and Weezie.
โOpen it!โ Evan shouted.
Jo elbowed him.
โWhat?โ Evan mouthed, rubbing his arm.
Jo shook his head.
The adults looked at each other with confusion.
โOpen it,โ Hanna said.
The other kids nodded.
The adults started unwrapping the present slowly.
Gasps escaped their mouths when they removed the last of the wrapping paper to reveal a portrait of their lives.
โGrandma did the pictures, but we put them together,โ Maggie said.
The parents all hugged their children, tears rolling down their faces.
A few minutes passed before the kids started opening their own presents, but it didnโt really matter to Jo. He had already received the best present anyone could have give him. His father was smiling, a real smile.
It turned out to be a pretty good Christmas, actually it was a good Christmas.
It was more then that though, it was the best Christmas ever.
