Okay, so here is my Christmas fanfic! It’s set about eight years before my fanfic, you don’t have to have read A New Legacy to read this, they’re not connected in anyway they just have the same characters. I think its going to be two more chapters, so yeah…I hope y’all like it!
Merry Christmas!❄❤💚🦌⛄
Jaidie/Dragon girl
“It’s snowing! It's snowing! It's snowing!” Conner and Evan yelled running around the table, while throwing their coats on.
“Ack!” Jo shrieked as they ran past making his papers scatter on the floor.
“Evan, Conner, slow down!” Weezie called from the kitchen.
“But its snowing!” Evan shouted as he buttoned up his coat still running.
“I don’t care, the snows not going anywhere, just slow down,” Weezie replied, putting some sugar cookies into a red and green box.
“Love you!” Conner shouted as he and Evan ran outside shutting the door behind them.
Weezie sighed and continued to put the sugar cookies into the box.
“You almost ready honey?” Picket asked, walking into the room pulling a red wagon stacked with presents.
“Yeah,” Weezie replied as she set the lid on the sugar cookie box and put the box in a large bag with the other goodie boxes.
“You ready to go Jo?” Picket asked.
Jo nodded as he finished putting the last Christmas card in a candy cane printed envelope. He turned it over and scribbled down:
To: Aunt Heather.
From: Jo jr.
“Ready,” Jo said, stuffing the card in his bag.
“Okay, let’s go,” Picket said as Weezie helped him button up his coat.
“Jo, can you get your sister,” Weezie asked.
“Yeah,” Jo said as he walked over to the crib and picked his two year old sister up.
“Are you ready for Christmas Layla?” Jo asked in a squeaky voice.
Layla clapped her hands. “Presents,” she said.
Jo laughed. “Yes, presents and cookies and stories.”
“Presents,” she repeated eagerly.
Jo shook his head. “Come on, let’s go,” he said as he followed his parents outside.
Evan and Conner were running around throwing snowballs at each other.
“Boys, stop it, it’s time to go,” Weezie said.
Jo carried Layla for a few hours before Weezie took her and carried her the remaining three hours to New City.
It was dusky dark by the time they got there, which was perfect timing because by now New City was lit up like a bright night sky.
Bright green and red lights were wrapped around the tall trees that served as houses for all the rabbits that lived there. A few rabbits had wreaths hung on their doors, but it really wasn’t necessary over all the lights. Jo saw no end to the bright blinding lights, it was a beautiful sight.
“Pretty,” Layla said as they walked through the almost empty streets. It was the day before Christmas eve, so not many rabbits were out this late.
Jo gasped as the palace came into view. It was magnificent! Lights spiraling up it’s large trunk and wreaths hanging on the double doorway with a Christmas tree on either side.
Picket smiled as he let go of the wagon handle, so he could knock.
The door opened and a white head with bright blue eyes appeared. Heather smiled and hugged Picket then Weezie.
A white doe with grey around her nose and ears appeared in the doorway. She wore a red dress that went well with her green eyes.
“Hanna dear, you want to come say hi to uncle Picket and aunt Weezie?” Heather said.
Hanna waved then disappeared inside.
“Well, come on inside and get something to drink, dinners almost ready,” Heather said, motioning for them to come inside.
