So in Wreck and Rise, we get two different instances of a nameless young doe who gets a line of dialogue. The first points out the way Lander went to Massie, and the second is awestruck when Whitson comes to attend to her and the other younglings. I like to think that these two does are one and the same, and that she happens to be Lander’s future wife. I also think it would be sweet if her name turned out to be Merle, hence the name of First Warren’s lake.

Also had a couple thoughts with regards to Ronan’s kids. First, I figure his oldest son, who apparently died at Harbone, could have been courting the unnamed nurse from there who perished in Ember’s End. It would soften her loss a bit to think that she would be reunited with him. I also fancy the idea of Naylen marrying one of Ronan’s daughters, given his and Ronan’s brief but awesome team up in Ember’s End.
