I was thinking over what might happen in the fourth book, and I came up with an idea. If Smalls becomes king, what if Emma betrays him. She might like being the next ruler. Smalls is kicking her off the throne.

This is actually one of the more intriguing theories on here. I'm writing a book series in which a very similar thing happens (a princess becomes extremely envious of her brother, the king, and tries to murder him) and it's kinda crazy to see how quickly a character can go from friendly to not-so-friendly. When Emma gets a bit more taste of royal life, lived the way it's supposed to be lived...
I wonder if Emma would have hated being queen so much if it was a time of peace? Just saying...
