Hopes (and theories!) for the GE books yet to come
So what is y'all's hopes for the books that have yet to be published. (I mean the ones we know are coming, Lost Cause and the other Helmer ones) Well, here's mine... (P.S. SPOILERS for LK, LL, and HIDT!!!!)
Let's start with Lost Cause... it comes out in the fall!!!!! I have two things for it. One, Perkinson needs to make an appearance! It would flow into EF so well if he shows up! Also I want him to defeat Challabat, because that would bring up a great reason for Helmer to make Perk a fowler. (Much like Jo with Solus) I'm not saying this because I like Perkinson or anything, but it would be prefect for the story. (actually Perk is my second least favorite rabbit- after Garten)
The other thing is mostly something that confused me in LL. So in Chapter 2, Fiona meets this random buck... Tommin is his name... and he gives her red sunseeds. He also says he got them off the Black Market- suspicious- absolutely!! Then Fiona is obsessed with them! At first I thought they were drugs or poision, but nothing happened to Fiona! So either they were just a joke of why Chef Sheffer is the worst cook (because he spends all his time making red sunseeds) or a different reason will pop up in the Lost Cause.
Moving on to the Helmer books. First, because HIDT is the same size as the main series (Although it has much larger font) and the other side-series' books were smaller and had three books in them and the main has four, it's too my calcalations that the Helmer series will have four books! (If S.D. Smith has said something about this, please tell me!)
Actually, when I first heard it was called Helmer in the Dragon Tomb, I immediately thought that it was about the time Helmer and Snoden swam to Forbidden Island without Airen! 😅 But I'm glad I was wrong because the stuff with Grimble Island was real cool!
My hopes for the books? I just want the stuff that was mentioned in ER and EE. For one, I want Hewson!!! For two, I want young Daggler spits ! For three, I want Snoden! For four, I want Perkin-One-Eye! And most importantly I want to read about Helmer and Airen dropping rotten pumpkins on sailors' heads!!!!!!!!

It would make sense for Perk to show up during The Lost Cause, at the end at the very least. Whether or not he'll have a big role remains to be seen.
I half wonder if the red sunseeds don't have some kind of stimulating effect. After all, Fiona woke up quite a bit earlier than Tabal Lahc was anticipating.
Sam did a Q&A a while back in which he stated that he hopes to do at least a trilogy of Helmer books. It could be that he'll do more if he has the opportunity. One would hope that he'll touch on some of the moments you mentioned. But there are certainly other plot threads I'm sure Sam wants to hit up, such as those mentioned in the bonus story of The Lost Key.
