The concept of holidays in the Green Ember world is actually rather fascinating. So far as I can recall, the closest we’ve come so far were “Victory” Day and the Feast of the Mending, which turned into an annual event. Oh, and the Terralains and Drekkers apparently had recurring festivals that they did. One would have to imagine, assuming rabbit culture is as close to human as our differences can accommodate, that they had other holidays. Of course, celebrating these may not have been practical or even possible for rabbits during the years of Morbin’s reign over most of Natalia.

Some events I could see being commemorated by rabbitkind:

*The Leaping (whether on the actual anniversary, if that was still remembered, or with some observance on a date chosen later)

*The defeat of Firstfoe (again, assuming rabbits remembered when this occurred)

*Rabbitkind’s arrival on Golden Coast

*The arrival of the…

So is anyone else bummed that we don't know the names of any of the Seventh District ships? Especially when every ship in Tales of Old Natalia got a name (one even got two)?

I have a few ideas as to what some of the ship names could be. Of course, the fact that we don't know how many there are means we don't know how many names we need. But some potential candidates for name sources could include:

• The members of the original Blackstar Company (Fleck, Galt, etc.)

• The Lord Captains (Perkin, Stam, etc.)

• The past kings of Natalia (Whitson, Walter, Jupiter, etc.)

But those are just my thoughts.

So a while back, I did a post about the idea of rabbit brides being given away at the altar, a custom found in certain wedding ceremonies of the present day. Well, my brain has cycled back around to the idea of participants in Natalian/rabbit weddings, but this time we're looking at other members of the wedding party. Of course, this is all speculation, as we have yet to see a rabbit wedding in the series (Sam should get on that) and have no idea whether it would look anything like the sort we're familiar with. But ignorance, as they say, is bliss...at least when it comes to speculation on the matter.

Obviously, certain terms probably need some modification, given that "man" and "maid" aren't part of the rabbit vernacular. I like the Biblical term "friend of the bridegroom" as a replacement for best man myself, but don't really know…

Anyway, hello everyone! It's been a long time since I've been on here. Hope you all are doing well. I want to make a PMV (picture music video) showing the most iconic scenes from the books and sort of sum up The Green Ember but I'm having trouble picking between all of the amazing scenes!
