Trivia Rules/Suggestions

Hi everyone! I've been thinking about these for a while in the hopes that this will make it easier for trivia to function properly. This is NOT because anybody's done anything wrong! I love doing trivia and you all are so good at making it. This will hopefully just make it run even smoother.

1. Answers should come out three days after the questions and then the scores will be tallied (either by the person posting trivia or somebody else)

2. There should usually be five questions in each set but it can change. It’s easier to score and figure out percentages if it goes up by five.

3. Questions should be POSSIBLE. The questions should be known by a big fan, not only by a person with a photographic memory. It’s seeing who knows the Green Ember world, not who is best at memorizing random lines. (Try to keep the questions about named characters and places, avoid numbers, and avoid chapter names or unknown quotes. The best guide to this is: if you wouldn’t want to be asked that question, then don’t ask it)

4. It’s the responsibility of the top three to post trivia. Other people can post it too, but the top three should post some if nobody else is, especially if they haven’t posted any in a while. (The people on the top three should change quite often, it’s no fun just to watch the same three people get more points added to them. Hopefully, the scoreboard will reflect who is the best at Green Ember Trivia and who is the most active/tries hardest)

Thank you all for creating and answering trivia! It's one of my favorite parts of NS.

P. S. No, you won't get "punished" for breaking these "rules"

Had a thought about trivia. In a case where one trivia question has multiple answers-like “list all the characters with this quality” or something-could we make each answer worth a point? There would be a rule that all the answers of the various questions would have to add up to a multiple of five for scoring purposes. I also would say that fill in the blanks and questions that only have two parts of their answer wouldn’t be included; on those you have to get the whole thing right.

Maybe it sounds too complicated. I just hate having to be like “you got no points on this question” when they literally only missed one or two parts of a list…
