So a bit of an idle thought crossed my mind recently, regarding weapons diversity in the Green Ember series. The thought was, there doesn’t really seem to be a whole lot. Sure, Master Smith’s go to hashtag is #RabbitsWithSwords, but I’ve just recently noted that he really doesn’t branch out much. Every rabbit who fights seems to be a swordsbuck, an archer, and/or
Maybe it’s just the fact that I’m into so many nerdy fantasy/scifi series, but I just kind of wonder why rabbits don’t have a more varied arsenal. I mean, some use daggers and pikes, some pickaxes, and the Wrongtreaders at least have crossbows, but is that it? Where are the battle axes, war hammers, or quarterstaffs? Where are the maces and flails?
He might be trying to narrow it down to more English-inspired weaponry. That could explain why he took the other animals out as well—to stick to more of a knights-in-armor concept rather than a more dynamic, possibly-quite-scattered-if-not-done-right approach.
Yeh bro, good question. I also have another tho. In the Green Ember it said that squirrels and other animals helped KJ (King Jupiter). Are they gonna be in the final battle?!? I low key hope so.
Haha, I can just picture Helmer swinging a gigantic mace to plow his way through the enemy crowds, singing “Oh, Morbin, prepaare for deaath” 😂😂
Good question, I want to see a rabbit with an axe as well
