I have read the green ember 15 times, Ember falls: 15 times, and Ember Rising: 4 times. And I don't remember anyone praying? Does anybody have an idea why S.D Smith didn't put prayer in. Let's start the discussion.
Thank you for all your prayers! It turns out, he had to have surgery to take out his tonsils yesterday. He is doing well, but you know how that can change. So, please pray for a quick and less-painful recovery!
Hi guys! Another prayer request. A lady that my mom followes, her daughter wasn't wearing a helmet, and got into this terrible skateboard accident. It broke her skull into 8 pieces. It happened about week ago, and she has been in a coma ever since. Her name is Brielle. She really needs prayers, and WEAR YOUR BIKE HELEMT!!!
Sooooo...I know this discussion stopped a long time ago, but I have found prayer mentioned in Green Ember, Black Star, and Ember Falls in my most recent reread.
Hi everyone!!! Speaking of prayer, my little brother, who is one year old, is having a camra put down his throat. He is sick, and the doctors are trying to see what's wrong. If you all could pray for him, that would mean so much to my whole family. The thing is on Wednesday. Thank you.
Also in many of christian author books. They do not say exactly oh this is the story of a man journeying to the gates of heaven. Because in Pilgrim's Progress did he say those exact words? Or did C. S. Lewis say that Aslan was Jesus christ? No, he let the dear readers figure that one out!
That is why sam has left this one out. Because I think that letting the readers figure things out on their own is a very important part of the life of an author.
A lot of fantasy authors (including me the greater majority of the time) don’t include explicitly religious behavior in their books for a lot of reasons, including avoiding a “Christian” label to reach a larger audience and because it might not fit their storyline. It wouldn’t exactly make a ton of sense to say something like “Jesus died for the sins of the world” in a book set in another world. I have seen hints of Christianity peeking through between the lines, though, in the smaller things they say or do or various allegories or stuff like that. What about you?

Please pray for my brother again. He is doing a sleep test tonight, and if they find something wrong, he will have to have surgery. Thank you!
Where? I know this is kind of late to ask but I have never found any and I am curious.

Here's a picture of him

Because Jesus wasn't a rabbit?
Or maybe because he wanted to reach more people.
Adding prayers might label it a Christain book.
Some people don't want to read something like that.
