An addendum: I THINK Victor might be S.D. Smith’s favorite citadel lord. Think about it:
There were nine citadel lords who appeared or were referenced throughout the series: Booker, Felson, Hews, Hewson, Morgan, Rake, Ramnor, Ronan, and Victor.
Only two of those nine are still alive by the end of the series: Morgan and Victor.
The other citadel lords either died in the book in which they first appeared, the one following it, or-in the case of Hews-are dead by the events of the series.
Victor, on the other hand, survives through ALL FOUR main books, and an appearance in The First Fowler for good measure.
Morgan, the other surviving citadel lord, lives through everything only for Emma to consign him to the
It would be cool to see more of him, It seems that the younger characters are the ones with most development, which probably means the prequel would be in the eye of Heyna or Cole.
Also, I noticed a lot of people forgot this, Cole is not fully black like his sister. He is instead, Black with white over one eye, and I am sure a white underside.
A Blackstar family prequel, or a book that takes place at Kingston Citadel in general, would be interesting. As to your post questions, I think that Victor is one of the more awesome Citadel Lords, and I’m half afraid he may not make it through the final book. The Citadel Lords have been dropping like flies.
As to what I know:
*Victor is the current lord of Kingston Citadel, and presumably a direct descendant of Fleck Blackstar and Whitson Mariner through their married children.
*He was among the Citadel Lords who didn’t blame the Longtreader family for Garten’s actions, presumably being privy to the full story of Jupiter’s betrayal. For this and/or other reasons, he and his bucks were for a time regarded as a traitors by Captain Frye.
*Victor is a widower, his wife having apparently perished in an enemy attack that Victor blames himself for, and has twin children Coleden and Heyna. He also allowed Heyna to train as a fighter after his wife’s murder.
*He was privy to both Smalls and Emma’s true identities.
*Victor took part in the Battle of Cloud Mountain and both of Smalls’ prison camp raids, being wounded during one of the latter. He also served as field commander of Emma’s forces during the Battle for First Warren.

Yeah, I feel like Victor is Sam’s favorite.

And Victor is grey.
