With the main series finished, it's a bit sad to think that there are some locations in the series that were mentioned or depicted on maps, but that we'll probably never get to see either more of or at all. In particular, several of the secret citadels didn't receive a lot of love in the series so far as going there, spending much time there, or having many characters:
Blackstone: though Emma went there with her escort in Ember Rising, we didn't actually get to go with her. There also weren't a lot of rabbits noted as being from Blackstone, and most of those were just namedropped.
Kingston: despite being the oldest secret citadel in Natalia, it's also one that we didn't get to visit at all. Unfortunately it just wasn't where any of the action in the main series or the side books-thus far-took place; even the Battle of Ayman Lake played out before Kingston was properly founded. Also, unless I'm mistaken we didn't get any characters specified as hailing from Kingston except the Blackstar family.
Vandalia: of the citadels we actually got scenes for, Vandalia only got one and a brief description of a couple of areas within it. We got a handful of named personnel from there, though one was a citadel lord who died in the same book in which he was introduced and the other was basically a clone of a character who died in The First Fowler.
Apart from these, Terralain and Exile Glen seem like the biggest misses, as we never got any scenes set in those areas. Perhaps if S.D. Smith decides to revisit Natalia we might get more, but based on what we've told is or might be coming in the future I'm not currently expecting it.
Anyone have any locations they'd have liked to see visited, or more than they were?
im hoping that the journals of massie burnson becomes a book, and we get to know about all those. i mean, dude live for hundreds of years because of true blue, he probably saw some things...
Well, at least one of my original listings is being attended to, with the third Jo Shanks book taking place at Blackstone. It’d still be nice to see Chelmsford and Kingston visited in the present, and more of Vandalia as well.
I really would've loved to have seen more of Vandalia. From what little we got on it, it sounded like one of the neater citadels.
There are also several locations on which I'd like to know more that are on on these maps (one is just a cropped version of the other so as for an easier read):

Unless I'm remembering wrong, there are many that I don't think were ever actually mentioned in the books, such as Krebb's Stand (who was Krebb, I wonder?) and Halfmoore Hills. Although, seeing as there's another Tale of Old Natalia coming out eventually, maybe we'll get more information on them.
