Marvel and DC

A comment I posted in one of the Fowler's fanfics reminded me of these two universes. Who of you likes super-beings? Which universe (Marvel or DC) is your favorite? Which character from each is your favorite? Do you prefer TV (Movies, TV shows, Cartoons, etc.) or Comics? And anything else you want to share.

Bonus: If you could have one super power, what would it be, and what would be the first thing you'd do when you got these powers?

Oh, and if I could have a superpower it would be mind-reading. The first thing I would do with it... I don't know! Maybe use it when I'm wondering whether someone's in a bad mood so I could know just the thing to do to help them - or even before they get in a bad mood! lol

I haven't seen any DC, but I like a lot of the Marvel movies I've seen. Steve Rogers is my favorite character, and Antman is funny (sometimes like a grown-up version of the Tom Holland Spiderman). Favorite Marvel movies might be Captain America, Civil War - oh, and the Winter Soldier is fun too, from what I remember! I also remember liking Captain Marvel, lol.

I do feel like a lot of Marvel movies are a bit flat despite being suspenseful, funny, and action-packed. From what I remember, there's not a lot of strong internal conflict and character arcs - like, I love Cap, but I wish it showed more of his weaknesses. I think the conflict between him and Stark is cool, though. lol

So those are some of my thoughts on it - I'd have more to say if I had watched one recently, but the older ones in my family (which includes me) have just been watching Mission Impossible movies lately! 😆

Oh, I love Antman too! His tinyness makes him so adorable, and even though it is a power, it makes him weaker sometimes. And I get what you mean about the flat characters. That's why I love Tom Holland's Spider-man. Even though he's a superhero, he's still a vulnerable kid, and he struggles between living a normal life and doing what he knows is right.

This is one of my favorite things in the world besides GE and LOTR. For some reason I didn't think GE went with Marvel and DC, so I just assumed you guys wouldn't like super characters. 😂 I don't know why. Anyways, I'll just answer the questions I posted.

I really like some of the DC comics. I love the art in some Superman comics, and the first... 70 or so Robin comics. I also really love Batman and Robin. I don't like the art in the Flash comics so much, but the Flash is awesome, and Impulse is my favorite favorite favorite DC character, but only in his solo comics. He's okay in some of the young justice, but he sucks in most of them.

I don't really like Marvel, but I love the MCU Spider-man played by Tom Holland. The previous two actors gross me out, and are way too old for the character, but Tom Holland's Spider-man is, I think, my favorite out of all the characters in either universe, and Tom Holland is cool and funny, but so notorious for giving away spoilers that he doesn't even get a real script. XD

Lol I actually loved the Tobey Maguire Spiderman and I saw Andrew Garfield (actor of the second Spiderman) in another movie and he was amazing so I bet I'd love him as Spiderman too. But Tom Holland as Spiderman is awesome! So funny lol. (HAHA that gif!) I love him with Stark. (I can't say I have a favorite of the three yet.)

I actually thought that same thing, for some reason - that a lot of people who like GE wouldn't like the Marvel world or whatever, but I was quite wrong!

Ay, I forgot to answer the last question. As much as I would love to fly, I think I'd kill myself doing so, or at least destroy somebody's house. I'd love to be able to phase shift. I could float, and pass through walls, and spy on people by hiding in the wall.
