Hiiii!
I'm new here (sort of lol), and am a huge Green Ember fan since my bestie introduced me to it way back when (probably around 2017 or 2016).
I'm thinking about posting my 20k+ GE fanfic on the fan fiction boards once I'm done brutally editing it because I stopped writing it a few months ago and I die every time I read the first few chapters hehe.
Do y'all have any tips on editing? My bestie and I are making good progress, but some tips would be nice!

Hey!!! my name's Abi, but you can call me Fleck, Haze, Frodo, Pippin, ok i have a lot of nicknames! It's so great to meet you! welcome!
TIP: I sometimes scroll through and stop at a random chapter, i don't know why but it's pretty helpful to me... :)
Welcome to NS!! So happy to see more Menders joining us as we battle against the...I don't know where I was going with that. Nevermind. Anyway, hi!
TIP: Read sections of it out loud to one another and just see if it sounds good, lol, I hear that works! :P
Hi and welcome!!!! So great to have you on here!! 😄 Lol yes, editing can be rough for sure! I don't have many tips, but my first thoughts would be to set it aside for a bit then come back to it with fresh eyes, ya know? Then make notes of all the changes you want to make, and don't be afraid to really change things up (like write a whole new first chapter, etc.) if that's what you feel will work best. Also I'd just say to keep in mind the story as a whole, so that you don't get overwhelmed with the little tiny details. I think that when you know where the story is headed, that will help you find those things you need to change about it.
Hope that was helpful even though it was probably kinda vague lol!
Welcome Bea!! I'm Rune, but everybody on here calls me Mercy 😊 I'm glad to meet you!
About editing: I usually just read over my fanfics out loud, and see how they sound, or maybe read it to someone to get tips? (I'm a very lazy editor, tho. I remember the first time I shared a GE fic with someone they thought the main character got divorced XD)
I'm excited to see what you wrote!
Hello! Welcome! I don't really know anything about editing, but I'm excited to read your fanfic once you post it.
