Rissy
I felt every bone I had lock into place, causing me to be as stiff and firm as a board. I could feel Teelah and Penny's long nails digging deep into both of my arms, so much that I could feel the warm liquid of blood running freely down my arms. I was in so much shock that I didn't even wince from the pain that flew up and down my arms, that Teelah and Penny had no idea that they caused it.
A thick dark fog of fear whirled around me and my sisters, we would probably be shaking if it wasn't for the shock that invaded our slender forms. I have never been in so much shock until this moment. I wanted to hold my sister's close to me away from this darkness that invaded us and was starting to carry us away into its dark mist. But I wasn't, I wasn't able to do anything. I would be useless at this moment when the weight of protecting my sister's washed over me like a great flood.
I heard a voice in my head saying ‘you are the eldest it is your responsibility to look after them. Don't let me down son.’ I couldn't even think of what the words meant. I knew, I knew what they were and it hurt, but I couldn't keep the echoing sound from my ears. The sound of my father's voice telling me that it was my job to protect them right now. I was letting my father down.
We stood in front of a tall dark rabbit, I could sense and feel his dark presence. Could feel the darkness buried in his soul, mother said that it was a strange gift that I had, to know when someone was good and when someone was bad. This rabbit was tall, dark brown eyes, his clothes were even dark, and the sword he carried by his side had a black handle with mini red rubies imprinted into the sword hilt. There was something mysterious and weird about him. Something that I did not like and something that I would have to protect my sisters from, even if it meant that I was the one to go down.
The rabbit leaned in close to me, so close I could feel a little warmth radiating on my face. He then smiled, but it wasn't a smile that most people were familiar with it was a wicked one and I nearly flinched from it. I could feel Teelah and Penny shaking with terror as they gripped my arms tighter, more blood ran down. I could have swore my heart stopped beating when the rabbit spoke in a harsh, gravelly voice that seemed to split the room.
“And who might you be? And what makes you think that that you can speak to one of us like that?” he sneered.
A large lump formed in my throat. Mentally I cast the blame to the doe, the one I raised my voice to, the one that had said my parents were dead, when they were not.
“I asked you a question lad!” He barked out.
“My…my…my name it is Tylen,” I managed to stutter.
The rabbit backed away from me and my sisters. He then looked me over with a nasty glare. “That name sounds familiar,” he said.
“It was our father's name, did you know him?” Teelah asked.
He looked at Teelah. "Perhaps I did girl, but even if I did you'd be none of my concern.” He then pointed his finger towards me. “You will pay the price for what you did. No one here yells to a member of our crew!”
Anger rose before I knew it and I said something I shouldn't have. “You want me to pay the price for raising my voice at someone who deserved it?”
