so i'm starting another fanfiction, as i thought this would be interesting.......
I was always interested in how the rain fell. It came in large sheets, drenching the earth and refreshing the parched soil. I could stand for hours in it's drenching path, just wondering.
On this spring day, i sat on the porch and wrapped my cloak tighter around my shoulders. The freezing spring rain soaked into my fur. it was cold out here, but i didn't want to go inside. It was a stormy march noon, perfect time for sitting in the rain and forgeeting your problems.
What problems? I wondered. First Warren was under peaceful rule of King Jupiter. I had a friend in Prince Whit. All was well.
"Ikker. Inside with you! it's raining raptors and wolves out there." Mother called. Laughing, i stood, shaking the water from my fur. My little sister stood in the doorframe, grinning.
"What've you done, young Sarah?" I asked. She flashed me a grin and handed me a small package. I'd forgotten today was my birthday.
Inside the package was a brand new blank book. Perfect for equations and drawing. I grinned, savoring the wonderful and peaceful atmosphere. As if i knew what would happen. But i didn't. My father was training his unit in that rain. He was teaching me how to use a bow.
"And from your father." Mother said, handing me a bow and quiver.
"Thanks!" I said, turning to open the door to try out my bow.
But before i could lift the latch, a terrible howl raced across First Warren, followed by thousands of other howls. Then, almost as i knocked an arrow, the door slammed open. A wolf stood in the entrance. And i was the only one to protect my family.
Hope you enjoyed so far!
