I've had an idea for a poem for a week now, but I'm thinking I may write another one with the same context; the sorrow that Sween carries with her after Jupiter's fall and the secrets she must keep.
I have never really written poetry; I did a LONG time ago, and I most definitely need to improve! LOL! But, here is the poem.
Sween's Sorrow
By A. R. B.
My children, too long has this grief haunted me, but longer still shall I keep painful secrets from thee, too dark and distasteful our name has become, that you shall not know yet, but surely a time will come,
A terror we escaped, but with disgrace that came along, a life once so glorious was taken before long, a kind and loving king, honored and respected by all, was betrayed by your uncle, a brother, once-a-lover, who by a painful greed had resolved,
A wood, so beautiful and great, was shattered and stained with blood, the howls of wolves and shrieks of birds descended from above, we, disgraced and ashamed, heartbroken and afraid, left behind a once lovely life that now was in a grave,
But a hope we kept inside, a small Green Ember would be found alive, a time where we will rally to arms and take back what is rightfully rabbitkind's, where we would fight, be brave, for Jupiter's Heir would soon arrive, but until then, we wait, and keep a hope and a sorrowful song inside,
So my dears, when the time is right, I believe we all will fight, put behind our transgressions and suffer not an evil fate,
My dearest Heather, my brave Picket, do not fear what lies in the distance, for I know you shall rise above this familial shame, and one day, do something great, for we all shall be Heralds who sing aloud, bravely, together, and fully anticipate.
Bear the Flame!

Good job. :)
