Caspian sat in the waiting room his head on his knees and his hands placed over his eyes as he tried to fight back the emotions that wanted to rip through his being and carry him away to the dead. Caspian would be a little happier now that his brother was being treated if it wasn't for the doctor telling him that Kent probably wouldn't make it and if he did make it it would be the biggest miracle that had ever happened. That made Caspian want a fall apart all the more. He couldn't bear the thought of losing Kent, his last remaining family. He couldn't, he just couldn't. As his body slowly begin to shake uncontrollably, he let the tears that he tried so hard to fight back fall, like a normal rabbit would.
Caspian sat there for a while letting his emotions tear him to shreds like glass ripping through your flesh, only this wasn't glass in any way, it felt far worse than glass. He barely heard the small squeak of the door open. Caspian didn't care to see who had entered because right now that wasn't even slightly important to him, right now the only thing that he thought of was his brother possibly dying. If Kent did die in there with all of those medics and doctors around him the worst part was that Caspian wouldn't even get to say goodbye.
He felt the form of someone beside him but again didn't care to see who it was, not even the slightest bit. He felt a gentle hand placed on his shoulder, it was so gentle that he could even bear the pain that vibrated up and down through his shoulders.
He heard a soft, quiet voice say, "You know sometimes it's best to let those emotions, that we try so hard to fight away, well what I'm trying to say it's best if you left them go, like a great flood coming to care you away. Only this is no flood it's just the tears of weakness the tears that you, sir, need to let out because you can't hold those tears forever sooner or later they're going to find their way out. Some people say that they can hide what's inside you but I've learned over time that those people just lie because they're scared to let it out and the reason they're scared is that they think that everyone will think they are weak and hopeless, but that's not true. Because it only shows that you truly do care about that one person in your life whether it's a mom or father or a brother or sister and on and on. Now trust me when it all comes out from your heart it'll be fine."
Caspian now knew that the voice was coming from a doe with words that cut through him like a knife, and as he heard those words spoken from the doe more tears came. Only this time they came down like a great flood from his face soaking his fur and cheeks. He slowly recovered himself and looked to see the doe that the voice belonged to.
Caspian was amazed at what he saw. It was a young doe, a little younger than himself. She was pretty, probably the prettiest doe that Caspian had ever seen, besides his mother and sister of course. The doe had long shiny black fur with a white spot between her big misty blue eyes. She wore a light pink dress that went well with her fur collar with a light brown bandana that was tied about her neck, along with a bow the same color as a bandana. A satchel hung over her shoulder, she smiled at him as she seemed to look him over. Then her eyes rested on his shoulders.
"You are hurt," she said.
Caspian glanced at his shoulders than at her. "I'll be fine, it's just a cut," Caspian said.
"I know you're trying to be strong and all but I'm not dumb, I have a brother who's like this all the time. That however is not just a cut because if it was a cut it wouldn't be bleeding like that," the doe said with a sassy tone.
Caspian was about to say something snappy when a sharp pain shot through him. He bit his lip to keep from screaming as another pain shot through him, only this time it hurt far more.
"I knew it, you're not fine. You lied like most buck's."
Caspian clenched his teeth as more pain came and he said, "I am fine and I didn't lie, who are you anyway? Are you at the desk perhaps?" Caspian looked her over and added, "but you look to be a little too young for a medic."
The doe cocked her head and smiled, she then said with a soft chuckle, "Indeed I am too young, I don't even want to be a medic. Anyways as for my name, it's Ella Jai Longtreader, what about you? What's your name?" Ella asked.
Caspian eyes widened hurt and anger rose in him like a great flood coming to destroy everything. Mainly this Longtreader, he hated them and for a reason that he would never forget. He pulled his hands tightly into fists and glared hard at Ella, apparently, it was so hard that Ella looked startled, her blue eyes wide with fear but they should be for.
Ella opened her mouth to speak but before she could he cut her off with a bitter tone, "You, you, you are a Longtreader? You're a traitor you and your family!" Caspian pointed a finger at her.
Ella still looked startled like she had no idea what he was talking about, but she knew perfectly well what he was talking about.
"I didn't know what you are talking about my family aren't traitors. We never do anything to hurt anyone, perhaps you're talking about someone else there are other rabbits that could have the same last name," she said.
Caspian clenched harder as you walked over towards her then yelled. "Traitor," in her face. "You are a liar you have some of his features you are related to him and if I knew better I would say that he's your traitorous father!" Caspian yell.
Tears rolled down the does face. "How dare you speak about my father like that or my family! You would not say such things if you knew them, you must be talking about someone else. Perhaps someone with the same last name or something similar to the last name," she said.
Caspian lashed out and caught the doe by the arm tightly, jerking her roughly from her seat. The doe let out a piercing scream as a look at fear came across her face. Caspian heard the door where his brother was open.
"What in the world is going on here?" a buck's voice asked from behind.
Oh, Caspian. Poor Caspian. He's just hurting so much. I kind of want Kent to live, but I kind of don't. Not that I don't like him, but I think it would be interesting.
Aaahh, Ella Jai Longtreader!!!! She is wonderful. Oh, Caspian, don't make the mistake so many others do, of thinking all Longtreaders are evil!!! ðŸ˜
I think you have a theme in a lot of your fanfics of letting out your emotions and pain, and not letting them build up in you, and I really love that!!! It's a message that really needs to be spread nowadays, I think. Really good job!!! (lol That's funny none of this was supposed to happen!)
