Sooo.... my dad told me today was 'National Grouchy Old Man Day' and he wasn't joking... at least i don't think. The first thing that came to mind: Helmer. I hav'ent been able to draw Helmer, but, to honor him, i will try...... And so here is my next chapter!! and i hope the code feature works....
Happy Helmer day!!!!!!!!!!!
Courage climbed onto the eagle. He remembered something his father had told him when they first came to Akolan.
"Symbols matter," Father had said, Courage wrapped his hand around a large feather and yanked. The bird squawked in pain and fury as he cast the feather into the wind. It fluttered down to land on the nose of a Wrongtreader.
The guard sneezed. Garten Longtreader emerged from the shadows. Dan and Buck leapt onto Courage's bird.
"It seems my little nephew, Jacket, is late." Garten laughed as a youngling many years younger than Courage hopped onto a bird.
"See you at school." Garten sneered. The birds lifted from the wall, flapping their enormous wings. Up into the sky sailed the birds, through the falling ash and smoke. The moon was a hazy and dull yellow in the large black canvas of the sky.
After several minutes that felt like hours, the sun poked up. The sunrise was a bleak colors. The birds landed in a large stone courtyard. As Courage slipped off the bird, he glan\ced around.
An enormous pillared stone building leapt into the sky. It was so high that Courage could barely see the top. Younglings in uniforms and crisp red preymarks walked the courtyard. An older buck approached him.
The new rabbit had brown fur similar to Dan's. He had a scar on one side of his face and a sad and worn expression on his face. Dan grinned.
"Peirce!" He exclaimed. Pierce must be his brother.
"Danny!" Pierce exclaimed. The fire lit in his eyes.
uh-oh. to find out what happens next, stay tuned!!!!
