Courage sprinted down the road, cape fling wildly behind him. The ash fell like rain on the streets of Akolan. Dawn was rising on the horizon as Courage arrived at the square. Younglings stood all over the small yard, and many enormous birds had landed on the wall.
Courage counted at least fifty younglings. There were guards around, patrolling the area. Courage shivered as a Wrongtreader approached him. His greatest fear were these rabbits of Morbin's.
"Name." Barked the guard.
"C-Courage. Courage Thomas." Courage stuttered.
"Age?" Barked the guard.
"T-Twelve" Courage stammered.
"Group five." The guard pointed to a small group of younglings and jotted some words on a paper.
Courage walked over to the group of bucks.
"Hi. I'm Courage." He said. Some of the rabbits laughed, all but two.
"I'm Dan." The first said, grinning.
"I'm Buck." The second said, laughing.
"Traitors." Jeered an older buck.
"We ain't traitors." Dan yelled, then, turning to Buck, he asked "Where's Peirce?"
"He-He left yesterday." Buck said.
"Attention." A guard yelled. quiet.
"You will mount those birds with your group." The captain said. A shiver of fear coursed down Courage's spine
Oh wow, I love Courage - he's so young and dear!!! And go Buck and Dan! I hope they'll be great friends to him.
