Okay so K.A.P. or Kayti had a B-Day this week, as you all know, so I did a character for her and I didn’t get to do a character for Rissy’s B-Day so I did a late B-Day gift! Hope you guys like it!
They walked through the gate, this was it he was doomed, but when they got inside it wasn’t at all like Alan thought it would be. It was small and peaceful, rabbits looked at them as they walked by. Alan looked at Meeker who was still smiling, he smiled back maybe this wasn’t going to be like he thought. Maybe he could trust them, maybe he was safe. Yes, maybe he was finally safe. He could be happy, maybe no one here would hurt him, but then he felt a sharp pain shoot up his leg, he cried out as his leg buckled beneath him. He hit the dirt floor with a cry and David was at his side in a second.
David laid Alan’s head in his lap and looked down at his friend’s pale face, then up at Captain Redthaw and said, “He needs help, his leg is bleeding again. Please can you help him!”
Captain Redthaw was quiet, but Meeker spoke, “I can.”
David nodded, “Please hurry.”
Meeker nodded then ran off to go get help. David waited holding Alan in his arms. If Alan died, he would never forgive himself. Alan was like a brother to him, he couldn’t lose a brother, not again. Alan coughed then groaned.
“Shhh, it’s okay Alan, I’ve got you and not I’m letting go, not this time,” David said softly.
“How long has he been like this?” A doe’s voice asked.
David looked up to see that Meeker was back and a brown and white doe was standing beside him. She was so pretty, he shook his head, “It just happened, he was fine before.”
The doe nodded and bent down beside Alan. “I’m Kate, I’m a medic this is Grace she’s going to help me.”
David nodded, “Can you help him?”
“We are going to try,” a sweet voice said.
David looked up to see the other doe, Grace standing there. He looked back at Kate and said, “Well?”
Kate looked up. “We need to get him to the surgeons now!” She said her blue eyes filled with worry.
“What? No, what’s wrong?”
“His leg is infected, he needs surgery and fast.”
“Will it help?” David asked.
“It might.” David nodded.
Kate got up, “Okay Dev, can you carry him?”
Meeker nodded and picked Alan up gently in his arms and followed Kate. David started to follow but Kate turned to him, “I’m sorry, I know he’s your friend, but you can’t come with him.”
David stopped, “But…I…but…” He started to say but Kate cut him off, “I know, but you can’t come, I’m sorry. Grace stay with him.”
Grace nodded and came over to David and laid a hand on his shoulder. “Its okay, they will take good care of him.”
David watched them leave with Alan and the only thing he could think was not again.
Happy Birthday Kayti! Sorry your B-Day chapter was so sad…lol…
Poor Alan's leg. Poor David, and Kate. Kate has a big responsibility!
Aww, Alan and David are becoming more and more endearing with each chapter! I love the way you're writing this - your writing style suits the story so well! 💚💚 Alan had better make it through this. If not... yes, I'm leaving that blank.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOT AGAIN?!?!?! Poor David!!! 😭😭😭 Happy birthdays all around 🎉🎁🎈🎂🎊
Awww! C'mon, Alan! You can make it!! 💚💚
