Hello everyone!
Though you may not remember me, I have been developing a Green Ember video game for quite some time. The game was originally going to be a text-adventure game (like Choose Your Own Adventure), but now it is evolving to the next level!
That's right - Bear the Flame: A Green Ember Story will now be a point-and-click game - a genre that has been mostly dead for too long. Point-and-click games are just what they sound like - adventure/puzzle games where you control all the action with just a mouse.
This is going to change a bit of gameplay from the original version of Bear the Flame. The choice-making mechanic will probably not be featured any longer, and though I'm sad to see it go, this will give me the chance to focus all my energy on creating one single narrative.
The game will also now have graphics. While they may or may not look very simplistic, I hope they will enhance the story and add a new layer of depth and immersion to the game. However, those with cheap PC's need not worry - the visuals should be very simplistic and probably could run on a machine that was 30 years old. Don't worry - my PC can barely run word processors!
More updates should be coming out soon. To find the latest on Bear the Flame, check out its website here!
Is this still happening? Also can it run on Mac?
